i'll get butchered for this but chavez vs micky ward. i know the result and i don't care. baring a cut, i see ward fighting through the pain and brutality, not to survive but to win. every round would be won by chavez and every round would be a classic with hooks being traded like baseball cards and each man's ribs tested to the limit.

Nightcrawler, do you think Micky would have had a prayer of landing that left to the body of his with any conviction?

i really do. whether it has any effect is another question. but the way he fought through the chaos against (and i know they are nowhere NEAR the quality of chavez) neary, ward, augustus or sanchez i see micky throwing it all night. he would keep trying all night long while chavez uppercuts him on the inside, pounds the straight right on the outside and trades his own superior left. every round would be a glorious mirror image of the last, with ward taking a cobb like stance and landing his own share of body punches

Actually yes....Laguna is higher at LW IMO, and his ability H2H is great.....I would say Laguna is a hard fight against any LW.....At his best he would give Duran a great great fight......

No N, I am sure Burley hit his peak heavier than 147 pounds. In 1940 Burley then 23 years of age started to fight MWs and LHs, but in my fantasy match with Ray Robinson, I was trying to equalize their weights somewhat...If I was choosing a Harry Greb in the mix, he transcended
weights throughout his career...But my fantasy bout between Burley and Robinson would be at 150 pounds or so...Cheers...
