    I know he won titles at bamtam to heavy but I'm not sure about fly.

    I know a lot about Carpentier, but I have not known of official information to show him winning French titles (as a pro) at Bantam or Fly. You are a quality poster, so could you show the info you have for his Bantam title please, so I can learn something new?

    No, Paperweight and Flyweight meant different things, depending what the era was. I would recommend the BBB of C 2000 yearbook with the excellent article by Hugman and Alderman to learn more.

    Oh my, did Barkley really fight at 300 pounds? Not good.

    According to boxrec Barkley's highest fight weight was 234.

    Frankie Swindell went from 168 to 256.

    Guillermo Jones went from 148 to 210 and was a good fighter at welterweight and cruiser.

    You're right about Barkley.

    I accidently read his opponent's weight. Still, guy did put on a lot of weight.

    maybe not 100 pounds but.

    markus bayer was an amatuer flywieght 112 and has fought as high as 174

    62 pounds is tons of weihgts.

    fly, super fly, bantam, super bantam, feather, super feather, light, light welter, welter, light middle, middle, super middle, light heavy.

    13 wieght classes

    LOL, you cannot use amatuer, because then an awful lot of Heavies hit the criterion;)

    LOL, fair dues to Mercado, knocking him out;) , mind you he had many flaws, but Mercado could bang...

    Mind you I wwant his diet plan, because ytou know he was back down to 220 for Hazelton! Mind you if he was 520 for Hazelton, do you reckon Bob legged it?:yep
