I think it's not impressive but lazy and stupid. He should fight at his ideal weight instead of pretending he has one-punch KO power at LHW...he doesn't!

Adamek will beat Cunningham's boring huggybear style. Wlodarczyk gave Cunningham a tough time and he isn't half as good as Adamek. Wlodarcyzk wants the rubber match but Cunningham doesn't seem to interested.

Isn't it laughale how some of these people were extolling the greatness of Diaconu, then in his own backyard he has to have friendliest judges in the world to win a lucky decision?

Would it have been fairer if Henry had been given the nod?:huh

You are dead wrong on his ideal weight. Diaconu is built awfully tick and needs to train very hard not to fight at cruiser weight. Still,it seems Montreal promoters are now influent and rich enough to steal fights with the best of them. He shamefully lost rounds 9 to 12. And also lost at least two of the middle rounds. Is conditioning is as shity as is victory that robbed the dignity of Montreal fans who are used to be on the other side of theft.

Now they made us just as dirty as the germans and americans. I cant i good concience complain about Magfaggy, Ottke or Beyer anymore because of this travesty.

Sorry, have to disagree with this one. Diaconu has been thick, stocky, whatever you want to call it, but his physique was considerably slimmer in this fight. He could still stand to shed some weight, on top of cutting to make a lower weight class.

So whats hapening? Is he going to fight Dawson? Is Dawson going to chicken away and fight Tarver therefore making Diaconu the regular champion?I would like to see Diaconu in there with Glen Johnson even tough I think The Road Warrior is going to beat him,but styles make fights and it would be a freat fight.

I'm living near Montreal and cheering for Diaconu. But seriously... I had the fight vs Henry 114-114.

Both Diaconu and Henry put on a good show and showed a better chin than Dawson and I think Diaconu has a good chance of beating Dawson,no worse than Johnson and Tarver plus he beat Henry pretty close but clear

Biggest problem with Diaconu is his indiscipline and lack of focuss. This accounts for him fighting at the weight that he does (too high), for his lack of stamina (lack of proper dedication and training) and for his close fights against inferior opposition (lack of discipline). He is better than Bute, talent-wise, but mentally and morally, he is inferior. He will become Champ one day, but he'll never be as successful as Bute.

It's not that he's mentally weak, like Dawson, but he's inconsistent and only shows mental strength when he's up against it, in fights, not on a day to day basis. I guess that is more of an attitude problem than a mental strength problem, but lack of mental strength cannot be discounted either.

The biggest problem with Diaconu is his lack of skill and natural ability. How is Diaconu more talented than Bute? And how is Dawson mentally weaker than Diaconu?

Ridiculous! Diaconu has a heck of a lot of skill and natural ability, as a puncher. He's not athletic. He's not a boxer; he's a skilled puncher. It's ridiulous to argue otherwise! Diaconu CHOOSES to fight as he does. He wants to fight in an exciting, direct way. It's not like he couldn't box, i he wanted to.

Dawson is weaker than Diaconu mentally in every way. If Dawson had a very good chin and a strong mind, he'd be the best; unstoppable, with his talent. Bur he ain't got everything.

Diaconu doesn't have a very good chin and he gets frustrated easily, unlike many people claimed before the Henry fight. He fall apart against Henry not only because of his stamina, but because of his mental strength. He could box if he wanted to, but he wouldn't be good. He's a "skilled puncher" with average power, above-average timing/accuracy at best, little ability to follow a gameplan for a long time, no exceptional finishing abilities, and low punch output. He's B- level and I highly doubt he will ever improve.

Dawson impressed me a lot more with his heart/mental strength against Johnson than Diaconu did against Henry, a much less dangerous opponent.

Diaconu has a PROVEN very good chin.

Diaconu is impatient and impulsive, but he doesn't get frustrated...he keeps hanging in there, fighting the best fight he can, till the end - he's experienced and intelligent, and doesn't lose the plot.

His lack of mental strength affects him mostly in between fights. He also fails to stick to the plan all the time. But he has enough mental strength to pull through. More than Dawson.

He's B- level because he's indisciplined, stubborn and arrogant, sometimes. If he overcame those negative attitudes, he'd be a solid B, but more dangeorous against most fighters, because of styles.

Dawson has heart; but he substitutes that for brains at the wrong times. When he should show heart, he gets on his bike, instead...

Nah...Dawson doesn't have a heart advantage over Diaconu.

i had it 115-113 for Diaconu. I thought it was pretty obvious and really the least anyone could give Diaconu. Maybe the french commentators were talking up Henry too much (i watched it on Don King network)

My opinion on Diaconu hasn't changed. He's an average fighter who had one above-par performance against Rico Hoye.
