Well after the Branco fight the WBC are gonna make Glen mandatory and make The Shark fight him and he'll take the fight cuz he's not chicken like the previous champ
Diaconnu stamina makes me unconfident against pretty much anybody. Any fighter with a chin and patience can beat him with what he showed in is last fight.
He was sick going into the fight and he was overtrained,the guy was training for 6 months straight all cuz Dawson couldn't man up and cuz that blasted hand injury
No not really I thought that to until finding out that Adi fought Henry with strep, obviously sick he was still confindent in beating Henry which he did. Combine him being sick with roughly a year off and the performance was impressive against a very game Henry. The Branco fight will be a clearer indicator of Diaconus stamina than the Henry fight. Then again the Branco fight may not last that long
Even without the hand injury Dawson would probably have found a way out. Still, even if overtrained that was scary. I had the fight as a draw.
An article in the romanian press quoting the canadian press says that:an agreement between Chris Ganescu main man at Gankor Promotions and Salvatore Cherchi(Branco's promoter) has been reached for the Diaconu vs Branco fight on the day of the purse.The fight will be in Bucharest somewhere between october 4th and november 15th.Ganescu said that there are just a few small details left and that he already contacted the romanian tv network.This is great news.

Note: Diaconu's people weren't pleased with Branco as challenger and sent a letter to the WBC to let him fight Glen Johnson or organise a title eliminator but the WBC refused.
The WBC refused because Johnson just fought for the WBC strap and was beaten(robbed). So logistically the Johnson fight wasnt possible. I'm abit surprised Johnson hasnt attacked 1 of the "other" LHW champions Erdei or Garay as he would easily beat them, however I have a feeling that they are content with avoiding a live body which of course would include Johnson or Diaconu for that matter
