The advice Anthony Joshua got before getting KO’d

Joshua was looking for a picture perfect one punch KO ala the Ngannou fight.

He fell in love with himself and his power.

He also admires his own work too much.

So he spent most of the fight trying to catch Dubois with a one punch KO to finish it rather than utilise a sensible game plan - stay on the outside, keep range, reset and frame an aggressive Dubois and then time him onto a shot.

Dubois is a more teachable robot than Joshua.

 

It probably worked a million times in sparring so he fell in love with the idea of landing that shot

 

Someone from the stands yelled " look out".

 

Lewis said to Steve Bunce before a punch had been landed : "Look where his hands are. Look where his chin is."

Mike Tyson famously said : “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.” Joshua didn't have one to start with.

Rookie approach. Rookie error result.

 

I know. Just being sarcastic. The way he was being pummeled around the ring is like they told him to walk around with his chin up in the air.
