to me floyd isnt worth a single pay per view buy alone. but his talents made fighters look like nobodys. there wasnt anyone calling hatton B level before floyd, or corales. oh and by the way the B level fighters ended up on floyds knock out highlight reels.

there always gona be critics for floyd just becuase of his deffense first style. and no matter who u put him in with u wont see a barerra morales was becuase thats not his style

b and c level opponents? DELA HOYA? HATTON? CORRALES? GATTI? CASTILLO? JUDAH? N'DOU?... youve just dismissed a generation of boxing as mid-level!! people want to see him get hurt then they will be happy and say ' he did well, he survived' but hes just too good, he doesnt get hurt! hes probably the best boxer of all time, along with ali ofcourse!

The Corrales fight proved his greatness in the ring, the Gatti fight (On a small scale), the Oscar fight and the Hatton fight made him a star in the public eye.

IMO, His fight w/Genaro "Chicanito" Hernandez was his breakout fight.
(Not to be confused with Carlos "Famositio" Hernandez)

Wow Einstein. Gonna make it what? Become rich or great (i don't think he's great)? You talk about 300 millions, then talk about greatness. Its NOT RELATED, Ask Gatti.

Talking about him, Gatti was a fight that put Mayweather on the big stage.
Hernandez, Castillo and COrrales were (to me) is greatest accomplishments.

I quite find that hard to believe. His last two fights probaly summed up close to the rest of his fights. :huh

130, 135, 140, 147, 154 champ. Cleaned up at 130 and 135 and despite being the smaller fighter in most of his fights from 140 up, was still far too good and far too skilled to lose.

At 130-135, he beat everybody worth beating. Just because you can't accept his success will not change that fact. 140 onwards, he was all about making himself dollars at lower risk, and I can't blame him for that. Look at how fans forget him busting his balls when he was young for 100k a fight against dangerous opponents.

The thing is at 135 and below he had some fights where he could have conceivably lost and people thought he would lose going in.

Above that weight he hasn't ever went in against a guy where you could really call it a pick em fight. That's not completely his fault because alot of the time there was a lack of comp.

However for the last 3 years or so the welterweight division has been booming and there are quite a few fights he could have pursued to stop the criticism he gets and No Marquez is not one of them.

so floyd mayweather never backs up his talk?? im not convinced you know what your talking about im afraid!
after the hatton fight, who was there to fight? cotto is never gonna be a legend, nor is margarito. people wont look back and say 'yeah he whooped cotto and margarito. but they will look back and say ' yeah, he whooped marquez and pacquiao' because they are legends already while they are not past it. aldo, before you say it cos i know you probably will, MOSLEY IS PAST IT and floyd would destroy him no problem. think about it!

and for you to say floyd has gone for the guaranteed wins against de la hoya, hatton and marquez just underlines how good he is...you just said it yourself without knowing it :hey

( i wasnt being funny by the way, i have just read through my post again and it sounds like im being rude, sorry!)

Floyd Money Mayweather yes he fights for the money but he admits it I suspect there are a lot of fighters who fight for the money but don't admit it. If people want to be ignorant and rubbish him because of his honesty thats up to them but he is honest and he is the best.
