    What was the setttlement????

Exactly, you dont know. Likely less than the money Mayweather was paying his lawyers to handle the court appearances.

Settling out of court very well benefits Mayweather financially.
He gets the lawsuit out of the way and Pacquiao comes out looking like he won the case????:nut

How so? Mayweather still wont fight Pacquiao without PED tests being performed.

......and who say's but a *******ed moron like yourself that only negative tests results are to be made public???

Do you think Mosley, Ortiz, and Cotto would have agreed to PED tests if only negative test results were to be made public.
What would be the purpose of taking PED tests in the first place.

Do you think an opponent of Mayweather's would be fine to have positive results by Mayweather withheld? :nut

What was the purpose of Pacquiao seeking Mayweather full medical records when he was'nt willing to release his own????
If it was for the purpose of seeing if there was any positive tests results he did'nt need to ask for medical records. All he needed was to have Mayweather and USDA come out with they signed between them to have his fights tested for PED's!
Get your head out of Pacquiao's ass, a signed contract between them is all thats needed to find out if only negative results are to be made public.

You're simply just a *******ed jackass who's simply dealing and throwing out theories and not basing it on any facts what so ever.

Unless you offer something substantial like USADA making public only negative tests results are to be made public (whish is insane) I'm through with you.

    Estoy fuera! :bbb

Do you think Floyd is a master sports gambler making millions off his betting? I think it's more likely that he only tweets his winning betting slips and will end up broke.

Pacquiao never lied? He lied twice about why he couldn't take random blood tests. Didn't he say he was afraid of needles?

And as for his second lie, if blood tests truely weaken him that would mean Pacquiao is anemic. If anybody knows what anemia is and how it affects the body, then you begin to understand just how ridiculous Pacquiao's claim was. He's not anemic.

All that being said, this is not proof that Pacquiao was juicing. And you really have no proof that he isn't. It's just your opinion.

And for the record I think Pacquiao is clean now. But the excuses he gave in that first negotiation were suspect.

    ITT

A ****** that doesn't know **** about anabolic steroid usage and its effects tries to argue using irrelevant points

You can say all of that stuff about Mosley too but we know he was on PEDs

And I guess cheating on his wife makes him more likely to use roids according to your criteria, right? What about him complaining about his socks as an excuse for losing?

But the fact that Mayweather settled with Pac in court is evidence that he is most likely clean

I'll agree that he needs to slow down a bit but, he can definitely afford to lose the money and he knows that he can probably make $60-80 mil in his next 2 fights...

Pacquiao is a good guy. The good guys don't take steroids.
It's terrible that some people try to make him out to be a baddie.
Next they will be telling me Hulk Hogan was on steroids.

Over the last couple of years, this forum was dogged with Pacquiao vs. Mayweather threads.

Thankfully, this has now calmed down. As such, I think people just don't care as much about the fight.

So maybe we can have a reasonable and troll free discussion?

Sure, if it happened, people would still tune in to watch, and it WOULD still be a PPV blockbusters. But Fight of the Century? No way. Every real boxing fan knows full well, that is has largely become, an irrelevant fight.

But my questions are as follows:

Is this not the biggest fight in Boxing that never was? It has led to the inability to see who TRULY is the Pound for Pound King of the current generation. How often do we see the top two P4P boxers in the same weight class, at the same time?

Has this not greatly affect Pacquiao's legacy?

But has this not affect Mayweather's legacy even further? Mayweather prided himself on being so 'great'. But still for whatever reasons, he did not fight his immediate rival at any point over a FOUR year window.

Does this fight not symbolise the core of what is wrong with Boxing today? The best simply do not fight the best. And as such, the fans never get what they want.

We never got Lewis vs. Tyson until 2002, which was ridiculous in my opinion.

And thus far, we have not gotten Mayweather vs. Pacquiao.

    What does everyone think?

about their legacies, pac's legacy was already set even at the lower weights. going up to LWW and WW is just a bonus and a proof that of his over-achievement. meanwhile, floyd could have a chance to beat a prime certified ATG but he felt that he doesn't need pac.
