Mayweather only has a limited number of creditable challengers right now, Canelo and Khan being two of the potential five. it makes sense to fight Khan next because he is more likely to get KTFO with his crap defense while Canelo can add to his credibility with a win over the Cotto.

147 is the biggest ***** move u can do and thats from a mayweather fan.

150-151 is reasonable, but 147 he knows the fight wont get made.

    UNACCEPTABLE!!!

No, because by the time he gets the middleweight title, we will NEVER see the fight, people will be complaining that he has no business fighting a middleweight, which is the perfect excuse to duck the fight

Key phrase being 'according to the news'. It's just Golden Boy doing business. In my opinion, there really aren't sides to take. They're all on the same side at Golden Boy... the business side. They will make the fight when it makes the most sense, and that's the luxury of being under the same promotional company. Mayweather is used to getting negative media, and as a matter of fact is actually benefits him.

Who knows, the fight could be seriously in the works. I've been following Mayweather's fights and negotiations for a while, and his team always has extreme requests at his favor initially. It's basically how you need to negotiate in this 'sport'.

Like I have said before Canelo is the one calling out Mayweather not the other way around. If he cant make the weight and Floyd doesn't want to fight someone 25lbs biggers then move on. There is nobody else in the sport of boxing that people would call a ***** for not wanting to sacrifice 25lbs on fight night

If this is true it's a pretty sad state of affairs, but more BS get's spewed in the boxing game than anywhere else. I'll wait for an official response other than what one side is stating.

I disagree. I think it affects him mentally and financially. People around here are quick to describe people as 'exposed' after a loss. Canelo just might lose pretty badly against Mayweather. What then? He's 22.. can he bounce back without incident and continue growing his brand? It's a risk a promotional company should take.

****, I just realized that I'm talking like I'm some kind of Golden Boy executive. Honestly, I'm just trying to make sense of the situation. As a fan, I really want to see the fight on September because I feel Canelo is the only fight that proposes any kind of difficulty and entertainment factor vs Mayweather.

Theres still plenty of time to get it done for it to happen this fall. but 147 WONT HAPPEN!!! Mayweather knows this, canelo knows this, the world knows this. thats not the weight to go for mayweather. 150-151 is okay but other then that is a no go

I guess it's still a possibility. Only time will tell. I just don't see why May would fight him later, when he's only getting older and Canelo getting better. I've seen plenty videos of May and his camp (including his family) and they never gave me the sense that they want FLoyd fighting at 154.

to be honest mayweather has only went to 154 for the best money fights avaible. DLH was in 07 and Cotto was last year. well Canelo is this year and next year and the year after that. He can make some decent money fighting Khan in the UK but Canelo brings in the most cheese
