Stop making excuses for him, it's pathetic.

You can't pick and chose when you're a 154 fighter.

He was a 154 fighter just last year.

I believe he's still got his belt now?

    There's no inbetween.

If you commit to moving up to 154, and you win a belt, then you're a 154 fighter!

Floyd making the concession to go to 154 in 2007, is not the SAME as Canelo going to 147.

Floyd wasn't putting his health at risk by fighting at 152, but Canelo would be if he tried to get to 147.

    The circumstances are completely different.

29 million to hit .270 with 18 home runs and to have a drop-off in production in the post-season

    He can't fight at 147!

Also, according to Reynose, they offered Floyd a catchweight, and he said no.

Now if that's true, that Floyd wouldn't even do a catchweight, then he should be ashamed to call himself the greatest fighter of all time.

    If that's true, he's a ****ing joke!

There is no reason whatsoever that they couldn't agree a catchweight.

He fought Cotto at 154 a year ago, but won't consider a catchweight?

If we were in the early 80's now, Floyd would be taking more vacations than Chevy Chase!

Thanks for the corrections without personal insults. I really wasn't thinking right when I made my original post. If you look back a page, I acknowledge that and retract my original statement.

I just thought it would be a ***** move to edit and delete it.

PBF doesn't like catch weight fights. I'm not for Canelo coming down, all I'm doing is saying Canelo has no business telling PBF at what weight he should face him at. If PBF doesn't want the fight at 154 but rather at 147 then that's his right, he's earned it. If Canelo doesn't like it or can't make the weight then there will be no fight.

Cotto didn't rehydrate to 172. That's where the problem lies, I think. It could all be negotiation tactics. I think the biggest issue though is Canelo's pompous attitude.

I actually agree, a rehydration limit of around 165 wouldnt that big of a deal in my eyes.

Although I think FLoyd would be hypocritical if he asks for it considering what he did to Marquez

PBF simply doesn't want the fight to happen. He has been managing his carrer this way for years now, who's surprised ? He may be the best around here but he won't take any risk to cement his legacy. He'll never hit the all-time top 15 for this very reason. Don't blame his skills for this (they're legit), blame the attitude.
