    divac,

FACT - Both Floyd and Manny were giving various interviews from early 2009, through the media, and testing was never mentioned. All Floyd was bothered about was the split. Go and do some research. The testing demands were put in place in the first official negotiations, and only because his Daddy had opened his big mouth in September of 2009.

Where does all of this tards stuff come from?

    Seriously how old are you??

    If you don't agree with Floyds behaviour = You're a *******. :patsch

    I'm not even a fan of Manny's.

As for the rest of your post, we know what happened.

There's a ton of links online to support what went down.

We can make up our own minds.

These are accurate, with links to support each segment, that I've no doubt that many people have seen before.

I originally said, that when they were both negotiating through the media, throughout the first part of 2009, there was no issue with any testing.

It was only after Floyd's Snr's comments were made, that Floyd wanted the tests.

Honestly.....it doesnt even really matter why the testing was brought up or who asked....

NO professional athlete should ever act like Manny Pacquiao did when confronted with drug testing...im sorry...not any athlete in ANY sport.

So everything HAD to be on Floyd's terms??

Manny GAVE IN to Floyd's wish, but you're telling me that Floyd couldn't have agreed?

    Manny originally wanted 24 days.

    Floyd said NO!

Now you can look at it from two ways.

You can say that Manny should have accepted Floyd's initial 14 days.

Or you could say that Floyd should have accepted Manny's 24 days.

But we're talking about the biggest grossing fight ever.

Manny backed down and gave Floyd his wish.

So IF Floyd had've agreed at that point, the fight could have been made.

But Floyd, who said that Manny would be easy work, and the guy who calls himself "Money" who's in "The cheque cashing business" turned his back on millions and millions of dollars, to spend time with his family?

    What a joke!

He could insult Manny at will, calling him a weak, yellow, rice eating midget, who took power pellets, but he wasn't able to grant the 14 days, the following year after it was originally proposed?

Floyd COULD HAVE accepted Manny's 24 days.

Floyd COULD HAVE accepted Manny's 14 days.

Manny in the end conceded, but yet Floyd couldn't also have conceded, and given him the original 14 day offer?

Manny could concede, yet Floyd couldn't?

Taking in everything into consideration that went down, WHY couldn't Floyd have made a concession?

So Manny's to blame for the fight not taking place, on the grounds that he didn't instantly agree to all of Floyd's demands?

It's ok for Floyd to try and claim the entire PPV revenue, from what would have been the biggest grossing fight of all time. That's ok, but it wasn't ok, to grant Manny the 14 days, because it was no longer on the table?

Floyd always wants everything his way, as we've just seen with Canelo.

"I want Cotto at 154, his natural weight."

"I'm not bothered what Canelo rehydrates to, it's not about weight, skills pay the bills!"

But yet he'd only fight Canelo at a cathweight of 152.

You can't negotiate with Floyd, because his ego is too big.

    The guy's a f**cking joker!

Why don't you try and see things from Manny's perspective?

    Which nobody seems to do.

He was backed into a corner. It wasn't the commission who wanted him tested, it was Floyd, who at the end of the day, is just a boxer.

Again, they were negotiating through the media in 2009, and there was no testing issue, only the purse split.

Also, nobody else had an issue fighting him.

Then Floyd Snr said that Manny was dirty in September 2009, with a bull**** reason.

You can use Floyd Snr's own logic, so say that Floyd was/is on PEDS.

So, from September 2009, you'd got millions of people throughout the world, questioning whether Manny was clean or not.

Then two months later, Floyd has got testing demands up until the day of the fight, and suddenly after 13 years as a pro, he was on a mission to clean up the sport.

Funny how it took him 13 years to make that decision.

So, taking all of this into consideration, you've got a problem with how Manny reacted?

Floyd could demand anything he wanted, and say anything he wanted, but it was Manny who was at fault, for not INSTANTLY AGREEING TO EVERYTHING?

    Nonsense!

Look at the circumstances involved, and try and look from Manny's perspective.

He wasn't simply asked to partake in tests.

Who was Floyd to be making all of those demands anyway?

Plus, we know that when he did comply with all of Floyd's demands, Floyd wasn't interested in making the fight.

If Manny was easy, and the money was HUGE, and he's Floyd "MONEY" Mayweather, then why didn't he try to make the fight, when Manny had backed down?

How come nobody else had an issue fighting Manny around that time?

How come Floyd was on a mission to clean up the sport, after THIRTEEN years as a pro?

We're going round in circles now.

But: All he had to do was take the test and prove his innocence. By refusing to take a drugs test he appeared very suspicious.

Its either a huge mistake from him, or he didnt want to get caught using PED's but, blame for this incident lies at Manny's/his teams' door.

Ha! We are going around in circles.

But we have to objectively debate the circumstances etc.

I've spoken to many people regarding this, and there's always two responses.

    1. Manny should have taken the test to prove his innocence.

    2. Why should Manny have taken the test, and agreed to all of Floyd's demands? Floyd isn't bigger than boxing, and Manny was right to not comply with everything, and be dictated too.

    I respect your opinion.

But given that nobody else had an issue fighting Manny, and there's never been any evidence, and Manny was backed into a corner, then I'm part of the people that agree with number 2.

But I can see why people go with number 1.

But again, Manny did agree to the 14 days, and Floyd could have given him those 14 days. But he didn't.

Then last year, Manny agreed to EVERYHING, including a 45% share of the purse, and the fight was still never made.

The only issue I have, is that some of these clowns on here, don't hold Floyd responsible in anyway for the fight not taking place.

    It's a joke!

Go and look at the FightHype timeline, with links to each segment, and then tell me that Floyd isn't responsible in anyway.

Well, i agree that Floyd was somewhat responsible for the fight not happening aswel, certainly in the second round of negotiations.

But i just can't accept that number 2 option as a plausible excuse for not taking random drugs testing.

Your saying there isn't any evidence, but the refusal of taking a drugs test is very suspicious and would lead to a ban in all other sports with proper drug testing. If you know anything about PED's you'l realise that a 14 day grace period isn't acceptable as a drug testing procedure.

In other words simply refusing to take a test is enough reason to doubt someone highly enough to suspect them of taking PED's to ban them. Which is exactly what Manny did! You can't make excuses for that.

Actually Floyd wanted testing from the very start of negotiations and Team Pac originally agreed to those test and later backed off. There is video evidence of this.

All you will ever do with this guy is go in circles.

He asks questions. We give answers. He says its all theoretical and proves nothing. Not even realizing that his question was theoretical in the first place.

Nobody here is trying to prove that Pac took anything.

What I can prove however is that the way he wanted to control the testing was unacceptable. If you agree with testing, then agree to it. Dont dictate to USADA how and when they will test you. That would invalidate the entire point of testing.

Fast forward years later and not a single boxer who had the tests has said that it stopped them from training or performing. Not only that, but Pac is requesting it from Rios. Im all for better testing so Im not mad at that, but it stands to reason that if Pac can go through testing today, then he could have done so years ago as well... unless...

anyone who thinks that testing was an issue in boxing around the time of the initial negotiation of floyd-pac clearly DKSAB! testing became an issue when peterson, berto and others started failing their tests left and right.

the reason why PAC declined testing against floyd was as what George Foreman said "WHO IS FLOYD TO DICTATE THE RULES?"

also the reason why PAC requested testing is he got knocked out by a guy who can't even put him down until he hooked up with a steroid cheat conditioning guy. LOL

    GATHER YOUR FACTS BEFORE POSTING!
