are people still talking about how much of a coward Floyd is?

    why?

he's always been a coward. he always will be. the new updates to the coward system of Floyd is just new ways of Floyd showing that he's a coward. there really isn't nothing new here.

i'll come back in a couple of years and tell you guys the same thing after Floyd has found some new ways to duck the fight.

After my long post on why Mayweather will never be the Goat (his interest in money) a Mayweather faithful (aka ***** by rude folks), suggested that Mayweather wants to make as much money as possible. Without losing the (o) then he will take legacy fights

I was wondering if that was possible :huh

When does he decide he had enough $?

    When people will stop paying?

2016 when he starts stepping up to risky fights?

I don't mind a safe retirement, but that will clearly drop his ATG status

Also if Mayday is all about $ he can keep this is as his once an year trick, up until the 2020s:bbb

Pac had a lot of fights in the U.S. We are still waiting for Floyd to fight outside Las Vegas.

Someone will eventually become The GOAT, he has to fulfill our childhood desire for a super hero or super villian :boxer

Mayweather is the ATG richest, that's for sure :yep

wish he could some how pull legacy upsets later in his career, so I can say he is > SRR:good

Dude, gotta go to middle and beat GGG at his most dangerous, then Ward at 165 catch weight. Not to say I don't think he's great already, but to unseat SRR, Floyd will need to do something that no one thinks he can. It probably isn't in the cards. Even Mayweather beating Pacquiao(2009) wouldn't do it.

Floyd could have twice as much as he has now and it wouldn't be enough - Hence why he still fights.

Legacy fights? He'll be mention the likes of RG as his 'Legacy' in 20 years time!

He has NEVER BEEN the GOAT. Jesus, what makes people think that?

    SRR
    SRL
    Duran
    Hagler
    Monson
    Hearns
    Marciano
    RJJ

There are TONS of fighters ahead of Floyd.

He'll be the ATG richest for a long time, although it baffles me how somebody who is as unexciting as Floyd makes so much money? He's nowhere NEAR exciting as Tyson was.

I think Mayweather can definitely be GOAT depending on his future opposition and the manner in how he wins he has a chance. Sure SRR is the leading candidate but wouldn't it be nice to say it happened in our generation. That we saw the GOAT fight live in front of us. Money and attitude aside, we should celebrate the fact that we have a magician in the ring. His legacy does depend on how he finishes these remaining fights. Statistically speaking he is the best, looking at facts and figures he's damn sure up there with the top. Never seen him in any real trouble, barely taking a clean shot throughout his long career, how many boxers can you say that about? We should encourage it, not instantly dismiss it through emotional fingering. I understand the greats like Willie Pep had fantastic defense but has anyone seen all his fights? Genuine question. Has he ever been down? Hurt? Quit? because it's rare to see someone beat Floyd in that department. Isn't boxing about hitting and not being hit?

Jesus Christ! Who does he fight though? F*cking Ortiz and RG? Hardly Hearns and Hagler are they!?!?! Yeah, the GOAT best win is over Diego Corrales AND that was a win that was 12 years ago YET Floyd hasn't bettered that performance and he is STILL the best in the game!?!?! Pull the other one!

For me, if he had balls he'd be the man. You really think he wanted the Alvarez fight? Bull**** did he. His fight with RG was that poor that he was MADE to fight someone with a big following.

If Floyd had fought Prime versions of Cotto/Margarito/Williams/Martinez/Pac and BEAT THEM ALL this thread probably would not exist.

You can't not fight the best opposition of your era and still be called the greatest of ALL TIME when you might not be the best of your era.

    F*ck sake...

Mayweather will never will never be the goat for one simple reason. He is too good for his own good. People started liking Pacquiao when he beat the favorite multiple times but Mayweather can't do that because unless he goes to 168 he will never be the underdog. People are always complaining that he's never the underdog but that's not his fault. People also want him to move up in weight but he's already moved up 4 divisions, anything else would just be crazy.

Ranking Marciano ahead of Mayweather = bias nostalgia = questionable opinion

cotto admitted to not wanting to fight Mayweather in 2007
Margarito: for the fight to happen Mayweather had to stay with top rank. Also who do you think challenged Mayweather more ODLH or Margarito? And when you bring in $$$$ there's no doubt who the better choice was
Martinez: he is a middleweight, when he was at 154 he still didn't have enough wins
