And he'll never be. Good for him, bad for Mayweather. Would've been a nice name and belt to add to his resume at this point in his career.

no fighter has ever ducked Floyd
they all know he would bring in their biggest pay day
Floyd has only ducked 1 fighter in his entire career
which is pretty good when you compare him to other greats

Assuming Floyd would be going down to 140 to take his belt(s)?

No, and of course you get threads like "what has Golovkin done to prove...".

    Ha ha.

A technical bigger fighter behind a great jab and huge punching power is going to lose to a smaller, 37 year old guy that has struggled with that kind of approach against much smaller opponents?

    Come on...

No way he makes it 5 rounds with 3G and the fight won't happen, 3G was just using that to prop himself up.

    Its a good point

But you got to remember - at that time Mayweather was pretty much a nobody

Within the same amout of fights, GGG has become the most feared boxer on the planet

You can call me a GGG dick rider all you want, all i want is to see the best vs the best

    GGG wants that too

Guess who's spent their entire career as P4P King doin what he can to avod that?

Mayweather was a name at 29 fights already and on the map, of course he has better opposition.

If MW wasn't full of yellow *******s, 3G would have already cleaned it out.

Manny Pacquaio's legacy eclipses Floyd Mayweather's legacy by miles. Their career path's, life story and ascension are not comparable. Nor are their resume's.

Mayweather is fighting Khan, Pacquaio is rematching former lineal titlist that he already beat in Tim Bradley.

That says a little and a lot.

He was on retirement when Pac went in and contested in a wildly hot division 3 divisions up from the range he cut his teeth and legacy on.

    Try again.

Mayweather beats Cotto, Mosley, Hatton, Marquez and De La Hoya, and he's "cherrypicking"... Pacquiao fights those same guys (most of them after they'd already lost to Floyd) and they're "great wins" (or lucky punches in JMM's case). Had Floyd beaten "Bum Bum" Rios, a washed up Margarito at 150 and Clottey instead of a "green" Alvarez at 152, Ortiz the quitter and "lightweight" Guerrero I'm 100% certain you'd still be calling him a cherry picker. I get it... You think much more highly of Mayweather as a boxer, so you hold him to a much higher standard than you do Pacquiao. :yep

^ Pac destroyed all of those guys easier. Clottey is superior to Ortiz and Guerrero and that was a tune up to Pac. Mayweather never bothered with Margarito.

Pac already had established himself as one of the greats before he even approaches Welterweight and then doing all of that as a significantly smaller man, having dominated every single opponent save for Morales 1 and JMM, is quite leagues above what Mayweather has done.
