He was smart enough to hook up with Haymon and make more money than anyone by fighting mediocre opponents. Sounds pretty smart to me.

It is unless you care about your legacy, which Floyd obviously doesn't.

Duck is a term that can be used to avoid punch , what Floyd did was avoid fighters so yeah you could say he never ducked anyone as no one eber thew a fighter at him .

He is smart enough to become the classic heel and drawing on hate from his irrational haters. how many times have I heard that he will never fight this one or that one. then he turns around and fights them and it was a cherrypick he should have fought X, Y and Z instead.

in 09 Pac was the one who walked away from a 50-50 deal

in 2012 Pac had the cut that would not heal so he could not fight on May 5th. then it looked like floyd was gonna go to jail . . . oh wait Manny cut looks better lets fight one of these 4 guys on may 5. Floyd gets a delay in sentencing and can fight on may 5 . . . oh manny's cut looks worse than we thought, he cant fight JMM/bradley until June.

I'm not sure what your point is but as a fan I couldn't give a flying **** about who gets paid what.

I just want to see them fight and not have to always reminisce about the good old days when the fab 4 fought everyone around. In my eyes and the eyes of most, it's Floyd fight to make and if it never happens he'd getting most of the blame.

Didin't Pac ask for an even bigger CW for his 154 fight against Margarito?

Didn't Pac ask for a cathweight against Cotto?

Didn't Pac drain DLH down to a weight he hadn't made in 10 years??

Too many kids on the site for my liking.

Elvis through his manager did the exact same thing, his manager made him make crappy pictures but he was the highest paid performer in Hollywood. Guess who watches his movies now, answer no one.

Same thing with Floyd, I'd much sooner watch an old Duran - Barkley fight or a Jirov - Toney fight, or any Gatti fights over any fight of Floyd's.

Bottom line is he's going to be rich regardless of what he does, but what's he going to be remember for, in 20 years time, that's going to be far more important. Now if he'd actually get in the ring and challenge himself to his full potential he would at least get something you can't buy, which is respect.

That's why Ali is so revered today. He won fights against Liston and Foremen which were fights no one thought he could win. He stepped up and proved them wrong. Let's see Floyd do the same thing.

My point was it is always easy to blame the bad guy and floyd always plays the bad guy. However, if you look at the facts Floyd has put far more effort in making the fight than the other side.

    my point was:

Pac walked away from the fight in 09

Pac had a magic cut that would heal and unheal itself in 2012. Along with the need for a stadium to be built . . . and all that other foolishness.

Today Pac is calling Floyd out but is he calling him on the phone? Is he serious about making the fight or is he serious about selling the fight with Bradley.

only a fool would think Floyd was more to blame for the fight not happening.

Dumbass analogy, why not compare Floyd to another Great slick defensive fighter? Pernell Whitiker, was one of the greatest fighters ever but could not translate his immense talent into being a draw at the box-office. how many other slicksters have there been that became the top draw in all of sports? None!

the man is fighting men who he gives up 20-25lbs to in the ring and you say he is not challenging himself just because he schools all the boogiemen that come along

    This...

I've been stunned over the years by how so many choose not to acknowledge this. Now I just chalk it up.

The only dumbass around here is you.

As I've said before I really don't care who the richest boxer in history is unless I'm getting a cut.

But since I'm not I want to be entertained. And Floyd fighting someone like Pac would be more entertaining than him fighting Baldimir.

You want to watch a fight where someone is clearly out weight, out sized, out reached, try watching Duran - Barkley, now that was a fight. Barkley had every conceivable advantage a fighter could have and still Duran found a way to win. And Duran's first fight was at 117 and when he beat Barkley it was at 160.

Jones managed to fight Ruiz at heavy and he was clearly outweighed by about 30-40lbs, and schooled him. He started off at 154 I beleive. Toney was a middleweight who stopped Holyfield etc, Greb, a middleweight beat Tunney, who became the heavyweight champion, so others have done what I'm wanting Floyd to do
