If you haven't noticed, Floyd talks up a lot of fighters.. He is a promoter and a boxer.. He doesn't have a reason to hate another boxer and he recognizes skill.. So your point of this is what?

I was on my iPhone and mistyped. What I meant was that he could have asked for anything but demanded 50-50 and hung up the phone. He should have asked for a% less than that that was reasonable

Those have completely different reasons and that's the whole point.

Floyd does that to AVOID some of the fighters who might take his wide O.
If he would actually go for the other belts it would mean he had to fight the likes of Pac, Bradley etc and had no control over who to fight next. We (meaning Floyd and his biggest *****s) don't want that to happen, do we?!

While Wlad has not a single soul in the whole division to be afraid of and the biggest problem is keeping the belts long enough to collect 'm all.

    Big diff.

So your point is? What are you getting at? Floyd likes Pac and/or the way he fights.. Is he supposed to hate him?

Well we know it wasn't Floyd seeing that Marquez agreed to a weight limit of 147 before either of them ever weighed in!:yep

Same trolls doing the same old circle jerk in yet another Floyd hater thread. Another day, another failed attempt to contain their fanboyism for all things Floyd. He's got you fools in his back pocket and yet you don't even understand why.

I'll post this again since nobody has been able to provide a counter argument.

People have such selective memory. Some of you seem to keep forgetting that before this phone call happened, Richard Schaefer had been trying like hell to contact Arum to get negotiations started up for this match. REMEMBER! Schaefer went on a tirade to the media because Arum wouldn't even pick up the damn phone. And when asked about it Arum himself said, "I don't know who negotiates for Floyd." Then an interview came up THE VERY NEXT DAY of Floyd saying either talk to Schaefer or Haymon. Arum got the answer he already knew, but did he act on it? HELL NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!

This all happened just prior to the phone call. PRIOR meaning BEFORE!

Now my opinion, is that phone call was nothing but smoke and mirrors. Those who stated that Floyd does not negotiate for himself are completely correct. But the point is, it got so frickin' ridiculous trying to deal with Arum that Floyd said "**** it" and just went straight to the source himself. Was the offer bull****? I believe so, but the point is THAT AT LEAST HE TRIED. Manny's camp hadn't done a damn thing at that point.

Instead of Manny talking about wanting his 50/50(which he obviously no longer deserves) he should have been on the phone asking the Bobfather why hasn't he been picking up the phone? Why is Floyd calling him directly? Why hasn't he started to get the negotiations rolling when GB has been trying to get in contact with TR? All valid questions which Manny isn't smart enough to ask. Manny wants his fight so bad but when it was time to make something happen the dude was nowhere to be found.

    Disagree on the first point.

But on the Wlad point. Is he going to let his legacy be sullied by fighting truely awful fighters.

The kind of level fighters that Floyd would be massacred for. Like I said, Hes being lambasted for fighting a top 5 ranked fighter in his division.

Wlad is fighting guys who arent even top 15!

Wach,Pianeta,Mormeck and Leapai are guys who arent ranked in the top 20 of a bad division!

    Imagine if Floyd did that!

Wlad gets criticized all then time. Mayweather is not singled out. That's just how it is. Pretty much every top fight is going to get scrutinized for just about everything they do.
