Only in size, not in heart, and that will be the difference.

Pacquiao is between 6 and 9 pounds naturally lighter. Mayweather could only get down to 146 for the Marquez fight while Manny had no problems getting down to 140 for the Hatton fight (not only that but, in contrast to his appearance at some weigh-ins at the lower weights, Manny looked very healthy at the weigh in). Both these fights occured after the age of 30, so both muscle and bone mass had peaked. During the Margarito fight Emmanuel Steward said that Pacquiao is naturally 138 or 139.

Floyd is a natural welterweight now. He has always entered the ring 4 or so pounds above the weight limit as he currently does at welterweight. Manny is a natural light-welterweight now.

No one is Mayweather and I never even implied they were. The 2 I mentioned were still pretty damn good.

Marquez does have a higher ko and he does"go for it" where as Floyd rarely does. I do consider that. However Floyd is faster and won't be hit as much as Marquez. The punch output of Floyd opponents drops drastically when they face him. I personally think that Manny at best can make Floyd uncomfortable for the first half of the fight. I'm not saying Manny can't win but I think Floyd would end up winning on ring generalship in the late rounds.

The only chance Pac has is if they both fight. Otherwise, nada, caput, zero.

It's as simple as that. Floyd is just all around better than Pac. Whatever Pac brings to the table, Floyd will have a better solution.

This is an easy answer. In looking back at both of these fighter'ss resumes, they both had great careers. Although I am a huge Mayweather fan, I still do admit that Pacman is good at what he does, and that is to bring excitement and makes interesting boxing fights. But when looking at it from a skill perspective, Pac doesn't a chance in hell in defeating Mayweather. But as well know, sometimes skill doesn't get you through a fight; heart, determination, and at times a lucky punch will get the job done.
As much as people don't want to admit it, when really looking hard at Pac's resume and the stipulations regarding each fight when compared to Mayweather, it simpl isn't just or fair to even say that Pac's resume is better.

The problem with Mayweather is that many people are broke. They wish they had what he has; skills and money, damn I wish I had it and I am ver happy for him that he was able to to accomplish what he and his family set out to do, and that was to conquer the boxing world and make lots of money doing so, and for that we have to respect him, regardless if you like love or hate him. The problem is that Mayweather is far ahead of most of these fighters today, he just makes it look easy. Everytime he has fought what the public claim as a dangerous fighter or a fighter that he is ducking, he ends up beating them fairly easy then we make excuses that they were shot or it was a mismatch when clearly that was not the case. Mayweather is just easy to hate. As I watched the All Access with Maidana, I realized that I am not excited about it anymore because it is the same thing every episode with Floyd. We know he's rich, he loves cars, and watches and loves to live life as he should, but I watch floyd for his boxing skills, knowledge, training and not for his lifestyle. I couldn't care less how lives because I can't relate to him and his money and never will. We don't get enough boxing information, back room deals, negotiations, training, sparring, running, healthy diets, other charity involvement if any. Floyd has to be a little more about just cars, and flash. I personally think that is why many people dislike or even hate him.

Mayweather is my favorite boxer hands down, I just wish that shows like All Access can dive into more boxing related coverage. Boxing is a beautiful sport and a great sport once people understand the concept of hit and not be hit. All Access can do so much more with the show than it is doing now.

But to answer the topic, I feel that the only way Pac can win against mayweather is that he would have to knock him out cold. He will not out box him or out think him. Mayweather is too cool, disciplined, and very very intelligent. When have ever seen Mayweather rattled in the ring? When he got caught by the Mosley bomb, he was so cool that at that exact moment, I know that Mayweather is in a different class. Mayweather often makes it look so easy where others have hard times with opponents.
Pac will have to knock Mayweather out to win. Plain and simple, and I don't think he has enough boxing skills, speed, intelligence, and enough weapons to handle all of Mayweather's tricks, set ups, and punching library.

They are the same size came from the same weights, pac knocking everyone out as he moved up in weight, mayweather doesn't knock anyone out. Mayweather calls Pac out about the uncertainty of his ability to knock out legitimate fighters in respective weight classes, and then Pac hasn't knock anyone out since even a 140 Rios moving up in weight. They are the same size and Pac looks suspicious as well.

I think this version of pacquiao has lost power and speed. With that said it would be a tough fight for mayweather.

When was the last time mayweather fought someone remotely as mobile as manny?

Go back years and you may find the answer.

Manny presents alot of problems just by being a southpaw. Floyd will have to have a conventional stance and he will have to be careful firing lead rights as manny could catch him
