Yeah . . . kinda, I think it was smart for Floyd to beat the guy handily at his own game. He could have easily outboxed him but changed it up to show a bit of vulnerability. I had him winning 8-4 and have been scratching my head trying to think how people could possibly think Chino won or beat him from "pillar to post". The only thing I can think of is that "fans" are so use to Floyd totally being untouchable and picking guys apart. so when it doesn't happen that way people think that he didn't win rounds that he won.

To summarized, he realizes that the heel character he has created a segment of the population want to see him lose. However, his own brilliance in the ring has hurt his ultimate goal of making money. So by showing a bit of vulnerability the "fans" who do not love the "science" in the sweet science will came back in the hopes that he will finally lose. The guy is a genius inside and out the ring.:deal

Actually no. He'd have to technically fight King Kong first. That's the crux of his point, he doesn't actually fight the guys the fans want him to. That aside, Floyd has to deserve credit for creating his empire. But some would ask at what cost?

Beaten from pillar to post? I can tell right now you don't know **** about boxing and don't know what you're watching in the ring. Maidana landed shots to the back of PBF's head low blows and other fouls and PBF landed the cleaner and harder shots. Maidana cut PBF with a headbutt not a punch dummy. PBF didn't take any type of beating in that fight. A beating is what Lacy took against Calzaghe. A beating is what Gatti took against PBF. Learn the difference you know nothing troll or log off.:hi:

I'm not a fan of Floyd at all, but he must be doing something right. Before the Delahoya fight he was nowhere, couldn't sell tickets, no fanbase at all. Since then he is making 30-40-50 million per fight. I don't understand it at all but it is what it is. Somehow he is selling all of these tickets and ppv's so you have to give him credit for doing that. I personally don't enjoy his style and wouldn't pay to see him fight, but obviously a lot of people do. I'm not sure about this, but I thought I saw that ringside seats for the Maidana fight were $20,000.00 and up. Crazy

Do you really believe the judges were paid off? Reporters, analysts, and writers all had Mayweather winning.

First off, there are TONS of fans (including casuals) who buy Mayweather fights because they enjoy watching him fight. This myth needs to stop.

Having said that, as long as there are marks out there who ignore the skillset and focus on the hate part, Mayweather will continue to get paid the way he does.

He'll never starve as long as the dumb fans (the hateful ones) keep up the good work.

Exactly! I was a sports bar watching the fight and 80% of the people in there were cheering for PBF. This is America you know he does have fans here.

Biggest myth in sports......there is no way you can possibly think that this ghetto rat is remotely intelligent......conniving yes....but those 2 have totally different meanings....the latter having a negative connotation....by no means is this illiterate thug smart.

It is a well known fact that Pacquiao has been quivering beneath a myriad of excuses for not fighting boxing's premiere pugilist - Floyd Money Mayweather.:deal
The reason for this is that Pac knows he is masking a Glass Jaw, exposed by also-rans and most recently, ATG Juan Manuel Marquez, in brutal and embarrassing fashion.:thumbsup

So instead of pleasing the baying public and taking on boxing's best, he has decided to tread the familiar path i.e. fight after fight against Top Skank fighters with zero boxing skill. And don't even go there with the Bradley win. Bradley is a 'roided-to-the-gills feather-fisted berk who got mauled by a Siberian goat herder.:rofl:oops:

    Refute.:smooch
