No, that is not what I'm saying. Did you not read my post? My personal opinion wasn't expressed.

I was providing direct material from both of the men you mentioned, in the time frame you mentioned, on the topic you mentioned.

I thought it was a fair contribution to the thread.

It wasn't a "fake retirement" it was a "brief retirement."

Ortiz was the consensus #3 WW when Floyd signed to fight him. So, if Floyd and Pac were the top 2, that would mean Floyd fought the second best available fight at WW at the time.

Guerrero wasn't at WW by 2011, which is what this thread is discussing (WW top 10 from 2006-2011), so that comment is pointless. Guerrero didn't enter the WW rankings until 2012.

Some of you are so wildly inconsistent, it's both frustrating and quite humorous.

    That video didnt prove ****.

Mosley said he was taking the rest of the year off and that he would fight fraud the next year which he did and somehow in the deluded minds of the *****s this consists of a duck :nut:nut:nut They arent usual to fighters doing what they say and when they do they get confused like in this case.

    *****s gonna *****.

My take is that we will never know.

The interviews from both boxers at the time seem to indicate that Floyd publicly claimed to want the fight while Mosley quite obviously publicly didn't want the fight. But I also don't really judge fighters by what they say, only by what they do. So, I seldom care to think about such alternative universes.

That interview was mid-2006. They didn't fight for 4 more years. I know math and dates might not be your strong suit, but...

As for some people saying it is a duck... well, every possible opponent that every boxer didn't fight on every particular fight date is technically "a duck" if you really want to get down to it.

You want us to believe that a guy that fought DLH twice, Forrest twice, Wright twice, Vargas twice, Miguel Cotto, Margarito etc etc was afraid of Floyd a guy that couldnt punch through a 400 year old bible page :rofl:rofl

Anyone worth talking to just needs to take one look at mosley's resume to see that he didnt duck no one, quite the contrary he even took on guys that others didnt want to fight, guys that were high risk-low reward type of guys like Forrest and Wright and he fought those guys four times(twice each).

On the other hand you can look at Fraud's resume and come to the conclusion that there are quite a few names missing from his record.

Take from that what you want.:rasta

There was a great article in 2012 by Boxing's top journalist Thomas Hauser that made strong claims that Mayweather jr had 3 failed tests for Performance Enhancing Drugs and they'd been covered up.

There is no doubt Floyd got noticably bigger in the break between the Ricky Hatton fight in December 2007 and his return against Juan Manuel Marquez in September 2009. I honestly think that he was so shaken by Antonio Margarito beating Miguel Cotto in the summer of 2008 that he retired from the sport so he could start using Peds to compete with the big guys at 147lbs. There are also allegations thats Mayweather jr has been using PEDS since as early as the late 1990's.

When Floyd came back against Marquez in 2009, he couldn't even make the contracted 144lbs and his shoulders and frame were far bigger then before.

Below are exerts from the Hauser article.

    Key words are "pay for".

If hes paying for it thats a strong enough incentive for them to hide the positive tests, why kill the cash cow?...Hmmm....
