Exactly, fresh blood at the top would greatly give the sport some much needed invigoration. Both Pac and Floyd's numbers are falling off something serious and yet they remain fighting safe fights milking it for all it's worth...very old stuff.

    Both have clearly declined.

Pacquiao doesn't have a style that suggests longevity. I'm surprised he hasn't declined more than he already has. His lost some speed and explosiveness and one of his greatest assets, his intensity and constant activity are now gone.

Mayweather has lost some speed, especially in the legs, he doesn't move like he once did but looks like his old self in flashes.

Of the two I'd say Pac has declined a bit more and will likely decline faster because of his style. He was badly KO'ed by JMM and was dropped and hurt before the KO so his durability may not be what it once was and he hasn't stopped anyone in 5 years.

I'd say Pacquiao, in the second Maidana fight Mayweather showed he can still move and bounce around a bit if need be, still have to see how Pac looks vs Algeri. Even though Algeri isn't an elite fighter his style could be troubling for Pac.

Mayweather-Maidana I and Bradley-Pacquiao II, I can see both thoses fights being a draw, which kind of negates each other imo. Though Bradley is technically rated as the better fighter Maidanas physical attributes make him a bit more dangerous fight.

Maybe Pacquiao didn't dominate Bradley in either fight last time I saw the fight I watched the UK version. I thought I was tripping with my score until they made the remark the HBO had Bradley ahead going into the 12th but magically had Pacquiao winning after the fight. I had it a draw or 6-5-1even for Bradley also had Mayweather-Maidana I a draw when I first saw it.

Most of Pacquiao's recent fight have really been a flex imo when you watch it live you get caught up in the flashy combos, but when you watch em again you see most of thoses punches that looks so good aren't hitting anything but air.

Ask Pac why he made so many excuses like a coward. Too coward to take the test and fight the best.

I don't know who's declined the worst from their peak, but they're both dramatically lesser than the people we wanted to match together in 2009. They can still pull the fans, but for the hardcore pundits their true relevance as combining into a P4P history-making event has long passed.
