Pacquiao's a bigger draw on the basis that he basically carries a PPV by himself.

Oh? What kind of support does he get? The **** poor undercards? Fighting on random months like April and November?

Algieri and Rios did horrible, if he carried the PPV himself, those fights would be consistent with the others. Mayweather's Maidana fights were consistent and it wasn't the dates. :deal

Maidana I and Maidana II were both on Mexican holidays.

Maidana I featured the most expensive undercard in the history of the sport and featured Khan and Broner. The fight did poorly. So bad, in fact, that SHO officially announced no announcement of PPV numbers. Ever again.

Maidana II featured popular Mexican action fighters on the undercard including Alfredo Angulo and Leo Santa Cruz. That fight also tanked.

I don't even have to mention the fact that Floyd very actively promotes his fights on social media and accesses additional audiences w/ his connections to Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and JustinBieber.

    Oh, wait.

    :D

For the record, when you say the fights tanked, we are still talking about DOUBLE Pac's numbers.

    Double.

I read that Floyd vs Maidana I did 900K and II did 925k.

Pac-Bradley II did $7,865,100 at the gate. Floyd-Maidana II did $14,899,150. Thats almost double, and we are comparing American fights.

Pac cant win the numbers game. They speak for themselves. Fortunately, he is willing to accept less for the fight to happen. Or so he says.

Has Arum actually had 'negotiations' with Floyd's team (Haymon), or did he (again) allegedly talk to an intermediary (Moonves) not on Mayweather's mgt team and then claim they would 'deliver Mayweather'?

It SHOULD be double at the very minimum w/ all the reasons I stated. Yet it failed to break 1 million and SHO immediately issued a statement saying that PPV numbers will no longer be released. Such a drastic reaction probably means it did far less than the rumored numbers, so we will never know the REAL numbers.

    - ESPN Deportes reported 700k for Mayweather-Maidana II.

    - Rick Glaser: Unfortunately, many boxing websites that reported that figure are also close to the Mayweather camp. The actual ppv buys for Mayweather/Maidana 2 is 772k, and I stand by my figure 100%.

Dan Rafael of ESPN believes the numbers weren’t released officially due to the low PPV totals that would make Showtime and Mayweather look bad if the figures were known. But if the 700,000 PPV totals turn out to be true, then you can imagine that Showtime will choose not to release them as well.

Even though they double Pacquiao's PPV against Rios & Algieri,

Mayweather fights on Cinco de mayo or has a stacked undercard.

LOL we can all draw our own conclusions. Do you realize how many times Arum decided NOT to disclose his PPV numbers? Stop acting as though SHO is doing anything new and mind blowing.

Lets be clear, if you can find ANY numbers that actually favor Manny, please show them to me.

    Yawn...

    http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/boxin...does-925-000-pay-per-view-buys-182401464.html

And yes, Iole is more reliable then Glaser.

Can you explain the gate doubling the $ Pac-Bradley II did?
