Dan Rafael said that Pacquiao has signed the contract and that Floyd may make an announcement tonight!!

 

Apparently hes got the fight made, thats whats being reported by nearly everyone. He came through on his end.

 

Ask Arum, because they DID take less on their end according to his own words. i.e - Your logic behind why they shouldn't take less is based on nothing, because not even Manny Pacquiao's own promoter and negotiating team for this contract believe they should have a 50/50 share of revenue. Let's separate fact from fiction.

Rumor (and ESPN reporting is pretty reliable in regard to a source) is an official contract has been vetted by both camps, their lawyers, and broadcasting companies. Pacquiao has put pen to paper on this official contract. That is what Dan at ESPN is saying. That means despite your rant, Manny's team felt a 60/40 split (that's the rumor) was a fair split.

This fight is happening. That is why things have been so quiet. I've said it before: "No news is good news..." Can't wait to see the **** storm May 3rd on this forum. :rofl

read carefully, i was responding to someone telling me that back in 09-11, when initial negotiations begun, Arum wasn't being fair. Well, it's because back then Pacquiao was considered top pound for pound and so there was more reason for Arum to demand equal terms.

It's different now and i'm not saying it should be 50/50. I think Pacquiao is being very generous cause he can certainly demand 55/45 at least given he has been close to Floyd in PPV over the last 10-15 fights and he is more like an A- side if we wanna talk about the A vs B ****.

The reason Pacquiao is willing to accept Floyd's demand is for several reasons i think. He knows Floyd is extremely difficult to negotiate with given he feels he's best ever and Pacquiao is a nobody. He is very unlike Floyd Mayweather and is willing to give the fans what they want. Pacquiao seems to be very nice and humble dude (everyone says this) and not a controlling, power trip junky like Floyd. He just knows that it's impossible to negotiate with Floyd without conceding to his demands and even at 60/40, he would be getting like 80 million dollars so still very good.

At this point, i hope showtime and floyd don't f this up by demanding too much, squeezing as much as they can from HBO and Top Rank. Unquestionably, their desire to come out ontop is dragging negotiations as HBO/TR are trying to prevent being totally stepped on. I hope they are at least reasonable in their demands and contracts signed soon

 

According to several news reports, Floyd will announce his super megafight(few hrs. fr. now) at 2015 NBA All Star game tonight.

Do you think this announcement will now come true as what the boxing fans are waiting for?

Excuse threads are the worse ones.....they are pathetic because they sound as if the person who loss had their buddies get on the message board circuit and make excuses for them......Excuses are okay I suppose when they are clearly relevant to why something happened but you can't make up excuses for just nonsense.....

Here is an excuse.......Floyd broke his hand hitting a fighter that he was beating the living **** out of......so he took a knee, he wasn't hit but that is considered a official knockdown....

Floyd slips in a fight with Zab, Zab just out of reflexes taps Floyd a little bit and Floyds glove touches the canvas to he can brace himself....nothing Zab did had any affect on Floyd losing his balance so the ref makes no issue of it......

You can't use the excuse that had the ref did his job Zab would have won the fight or had a draw whatever, that bullsh t, was as real as a knockdown as the one where Floyd hurt himself....the opponent had nothing to do with why he went down....

Or What about Danny Garcia rematching the challenger in a fight that Danny clearly won......People on this board are rallying for a mandatory rematch for Lucas and Danny.....Lucas wasn't the champion nor did Danny get rich fighting dude.....he owes that bum nothing...as a matter of fact Lucas lost to Devon and Zab, he needs to avenge those losses first....
