In Deontay Wilder we trust. But he needs to step it up badly. He should be fighting the likes of Fres Oqeundo at this stage in his career.

I hate to admit it, but I still like Tor Hamer better than most of these guys.

And while he might be a chubby white marshmellow, Joey Dawekjo is still probably better than half the guys who were on the original list.

And if we're talking fringy guys who might have a chance at being a contender someday, I'll throw Alex Flores's name in there.

Joey needs to spend more time fighting like James Toney and less time eating like him.

I have seen a few guys on the list, and none of them seem like championship material to me. Some say Football and Basketball has taken away from boxing. The truth is international competition is making it harder. The USA doesn't look good in Men's golf or Tennis right now, for the same reasons.

I just started a thread in the European forum about Artur Szpilka, another good Polish prospect who just got a big win. You know anything about him Mendoza?

Right, so Eddie Chambers and Kevin Johnson are modern day Cassius Clays, equally talented, but not as successful because international competition has gotten so much better.

... Or, the alternative, that the best athletes are playing other sports in America.

I felt almost ashamed reading the OP. Wilder is the only shot we have, but he's fighting total bums and hasn't looked that impressive. :/

Rodriquez looks the part is calling out big names. Looks like he gonna make a move soon. We'll know better when he finally does.
