For the life of me I just don't get the obessesion with Calzaghe -Lacy I mean it was a great performance but Lacy was no where near elite. Winky-Tito was better or even Hopkins-Tito, hell even PBF-Hatton because they were all top 10 P4P elite boxers.:deal I'm starting to think people are just saying Calzaghe becasue he's their favorite because if you look at it rationally you can't pick it over Winky's or Hopkin's performances.

I am not saying Barrera was washed up or even that he would have defeated Manny Pacquiao at any point. But, I'm of the opinion, that the best version of Barrera would never get TKO'd by Manny Pacquiao at featherweight or any other weight. Marco Antonio Barrera 3 years prior to the Manny fight was able to go 12 excruiating rounds with another hard punching featherweight Erik Morales, who probably had a higher punch output also.

I had Barrera beating Juan Manuel Marquez and Erik Morales in their third fight, but he was pretty dire in his first bout with Juarez and was ridicliously negative in their return bout. Of course, none of this proves any points. I had Hopkins beating Winky and Tarver, but that doesn't mean he was prime or even late prime.

It was just because of the dominance, and the fact that Lacy was the slight favorite going in.

I personally was never impressed with Lacy, although I liked him.

I was more impressed with Calzaghe's win over Kessler, even if it was competitive and the Lacy fight was a domination.

    I'm not being stupid.

It was being implied that Marco was a top 5 rated fighter and therefore he couldn't have been past his prime. There have been plenty of fighters ranked top 10 p4p that have been past their best, Hopkins was just one example.

Hell Tito was the favorite like Lacy in both fights and he was P4P top 10 ranked unlike Lacy who wasn't. A great win by Joe but in no way casn it compare with Winky, Hopkins, PBF or Jones.

Roy Jones Vs Richard Hall was so dominant, i've never seen such a one sitted beating in my life, they were scoring a handfull of 10-8 rounds and their wasen't even knockdowns (apart from the first round)

But from the list i picked Hopkins Vs Trinidad

i said this fight as well, that was an ass wooping, and RJ did it with style. dancing taunting, hitting hall at will, that was a masterpiece.

Popularity contest that's why polls like this have no credibility. No way in hell was Calzaghe-Lacy a better performance than Jones-Toney, Hopkins-Tito, Winky-Tito or PBF-Chico all of these boxers involved were top 10 P4P ranked fighters and were just as impressive if not more against better comp than Calzaghe faced in Lacy. Lacy was nothing more than a up and coming belt holder that was starting to make a name for himself.

    Other - Barrera-Hamed. Calzaghe-Lacy comes in second.

I'm from the UK, and I rate Calzaghe-Lacey as a great win for Joe, but it doesn't come close to Pacquiao-Barrera or Barrera-Hamed or Hopkins-Trinidad or Hopkins-Tarver or Jones-Toney. Lacey was a legitimate world champion and a pre-fight favourite, but he wasn't elite level top 10 P4P (maybe Hamed and Tarver weren't either, but in those fights Hopkins and Barrera were coming off losses and moving up in weight, I think that improves their achievement).
