At 35 years old he hasn't just beat Kessler and Lacy just so he can fight Dawson. He'll be wanting Hopkins and then winner from the joke fight..Roy Jones...easy wins for a lot of money.

Hopkins is deluded enough to think he can win. He is in for a shock and a beating.

Who wants to see that fight ! Hopkins getting beat up ! People wants to see Calzaghe getting the four belt of the smw division. But Bute is a to high risk level fighter for Joe...

I can bring up factual accounts of Hopkins pricing himself out after an agreed figure was met, can you bring up account to the contrary? If not then are YOU dumb?

    It was more than money.

Hopkins was chasing the title defense record...which if he moved up to face Joe (since Joe had NO intention of moving down) he would have lost out on.

Hopkins also has REFUSED to fight overseas after what had happened in his fight with Mercado (go google it...trust me, you wouldnt blame him for feeling that way)...yet Joe or more accurately Warren wanted the fight overseas.

AND, the fight was never agreed upon, it was discussed and turned down...like so many fights are these days. This was in no way Bernard ducking Joe by pricing himself out or Joe ducking Bernard by asking too much.

Your statement was dumb (or rather selectively based on a miniscule amount of fact...yet ignoring the rest of the facts to fit your point)....hense the question.

I don't think Hopkins will turn it down, but it will take a of huge sum for him to take it, considering the legacy he can give to Joe if he loses (and which, at this point, is likely).

Hopkins has fought a lot of tough opponnents. Enough to not be accused of ducking someone.

    :patsch

So Tarver, Oscar, Tito, Johnson, Winky, etc. are all on Lacy's level to you?

Funny you speak of an american bias...yet your anti-american bias is 100x worse.

I not going to go that far. I agree Joe would simply be to active for Bernard at this stage in his career, but a prime Hopkins imo would give Joe the fight of his life and would have a good chance of beating him.

Bernard in his prime was a beast alot more agressive and active than he is now.
