Personally I just tune in to watch the fight, I could quite happily watch it without commentators. I've no idea why folk get so upset about them sometimes. Whilst watching a fight I can hear them, but I very rarely listen to them.
This made me laugh, slipping the nickname in like he'd been known by it for years despite only inventing it two rounds before.

Yeah, I liked Benny Ricardo, he was a bit crazy but not in an annoying way and it was great to hear the translations between rounds. Wayne rambled on though and did annoy me and the studio seemed a bit flat. I'd maybe have Duke commentating with Ricardo and get someone livelier in the studio with Buncey and Andy, Eubank would be good.

I wish primetime would just feed us the american show from start to finish. i like their show, better production etc Save all their money on everyone else and spend it on HD :yep

If it's not Watt and Smith/Darke, it's not good enough. I'll just watch any footage on youtube or download the HBO version after. It's either Lampley/Merchant/etc or the Sky team. Sky's team have been ****ing awful recently, they NEED to get rid of that **** announcing at the moment, there is absolutely no passion in his voice whatsoever, nothing. If there's an exciting part of the fight, he's still talking ****ing monotone.
Nick Halling the one you are talking about? To be honest, I find him very perceptive, more so than most other commentators. He seems to catch actual punches landed and doesn't just praise a fighters aggressiveness or toughness in the way say Watt will do. Personally, i just think that's better commentatory even if his voice is pretty boring cos it really shows you who should be winning the fight
