Diaz took Marquez deep. Now look at Diaz before and since.......... Floyd wins this easy, layoff or no lay off, weight or otherwise.

I think Diaz's performance against Marquez has been overstated. He caught Marquez flush a few times early on, before JMM adjusted. Nothing to write home about, most of Diaz's pitty-pat punches were being slipped or blocked. It looked good for the crowd, but he was pretty ineffectual all night long.

Floyds just too quick for him imo, will be getting shots in and getting out before he takes one back

If his hands are better the layoff might not be such a bad thing for him anyway

The only way I can see Marquez causing him real trouble is if he takes the first few rounds and makes floyd have to really push the fight

Mayweather, late stoppage around the 10th, after putting jmm on his arse a couple of times in that round. FDloyd is not a fighter in decline, and will have too much for jmm.
However, there have been a couple of comments re jmm losing to pac man, and he was robbed, he should get another chance to kick his arse, and shut roach up

    excellent fight.

2 of the best counter punchers of all time.

i don't think the weight is such a big deal.

mayweather is a slickster and doesn't rely on strength anyway.

i think floyd's sharpness will be a bit too much and win a decision.

i see marquez giving him some problems though. :bbb

you see, thats why i prefer the brit forum...calling this bout 'pointless' is just wrong....and i agree with other posts in this thread that the weight issue wont be as much of an issue as some are making it out to be...

I can see JMM getting some early success and losing by decision.

Easy win for Mayweather. What is Marquez going to do, counterpunch a guy that is just as fast but has the added advantage of being accustomed to the weight whereas Marquez could lack sharpness? Is he going to be aggressive and go out of his comfort zone and outhustle a bigger, stronger guy?

The only hope he has is Mayweather is terribly ring rusty.

Floyd Mayweather dominates from start to finish. Late stoppage.

Two counters punchers.... Could be boring as hell and very one sided unless it all goes out of the window...I wonder if the time away from the rinmg for PBF will make any difference...:think

I think this will be a close fight, especially if the long lay-off for Mayweather has an efffect. He has been out for 2 years and is coming back at the top - which is risky. I wouldnt be surprised if it is a narrow points win either way, possibly a split decision....
