    One of the things I love about boxing is the way circumstances can affect a particular fight, or indeed a fighter's career. We are constantly left with the question 'What if?'. So I thought it might be fun to start a thread where someone can ask a 'What if' question, and others can all discuss different outcomes of certain fights.

    I'll start us of.

    1) What if: Roberto Duran hadn't gone on a partying and eating spree post Montreal. How would the second Leonard fight have gone? Would Ray's movement still confuse and baffle Duran? Or would a fully fit and focused Duran once again defeat Sugar?

    2) What if: Prince Naz fought Erik Morales instead of Marco Antonio Barrera? Erik loved a scrap, and Naz had dynamite in both hands with a solid chin. Would Naz have beaten 'the other Mexican and cement his legacy? Or would Morales also take Naz to school?

    3) Finally, What if: Jermaine Taylor lasted and extra 14 seconds against Froch and retained his title on points? Would Froch have been mentally destroyed? Would Taylor have grown in confidence and beaten Abraham and performed well in the Super 6?

    If Naz had fought Morales a while before he would've had a shot. But Morales might well have boxed him @ 126, and would've beaten Naz fairly easily IMO. I maintain that out of the 3, Naz would've had the best chance against Morales (or a gung-ho Barrera, but he made the correct adjustments at 126, IMO, no version of Naz beats THAT Marco)

    Mine is:

    What if....David Reid hadn't suffered his eye injury against Daniel Santos in the Pan-Am games?

    What Salvador Sanchez hadn't sadly passed. Did he peak early or could he have gone on to be a top 20 ATG

    Personally I would have fancied Naz to do the job on Morales, providing he went to war. If Erik decided to box like barrera did, he would have beaten Naz no doubt. But I think the Mexican would of went to war as, let's face it, he loves a scrap. And anyone who went to war with the Prince went down. Morales for me would have been no different.

    Personally Its one of the things I hate talking about because it's not real!

    Only 'What If' I have is, what if boxing was less corrupt?
