Benn is a small 147 for sure, he has got a bit bigger of course the past 2-3 years but that's coming from when he turned pro when he was really puny and undersized for the weight. If you compare him physically to Brook, Porter, Spence, Garcia, I would say even Crawford etc. especially once they re-hydrate he is small and can look frail. He could and maybe should have started his career out at 140 and grown into 147. If he's starts having problems at this weight due to lifestyle, injury or other issues he's got nowhere to go as being small at 147 means at 154 he would be ridiculously small. Other than that not much interest in this fight for me really...he could face another 10 of these type of opponents and would still come up short at top world title level against any of his generation like Ortiz Jnr/Ennis or even any of the outgoing current generation so not really sure where Matchroom are going with him. Unless they are just using him to fill slots on the boxing calendar as he does have some profile and is able to headline a show.
I wish boxers didn't have social media, it just allows too many of them to reveal their inner bellend This content is protected
Algieri will always have S&C on point, I remember he was hired by Jacobs in that role for his fight vs Canelo.
I'd say his pay packet from last night tells him more truths than staring in the mirror at himself like some confused Donnie Darko ever could.
