Don't put the cart before the horse brah....it's not a definite Floyd beats manny. He could very well loose to Manny and of course the conspiracy theories and excuses will be out in numbers....like the Rehydration clause, roids, PEDs, weight drained opponents, shot, not ready, distracted....all hysterical b/c it shows just how desperate his haters are to see his down fall. And JMM doesn't have an agrument that he beat PAC. He lost twice and the only arguement is that JMM got a gift draw.

It wasn't Floyd being bigger that mattered it was JMM being a bad size. I mean he looked slow in that fight because he wasn't made to be WW.

All I can see is revisionist history.

Judah was shot after Tszyu? Oh ok, so Judah being able to unify at 147 after that event wasn't proof to you that his talent was still allowing him to win big fights after Tszyu?

I agree, Judah wasn't a great win owing to his loss to Baldomir, but even so, people before Baldomir were indicating how Judah would just be too fast and too powerful for Floyd.

Floyd beat Baldomir solely because Baldomir was the man at 147 and beat two "solid" fighters there in Judah and Gatti, even if Gatti was on a downhill by then.

Hatton had a title at 147 before fighting Floyd, he also proved he could knock down a pretty big welterweight in Collazo and while he struggled in that fight, people still believed he'd be too good with pressuring and roughhandling Floyd to lose to him, can't you remember that?

JMM, it wasn't so much the victory but the way in which Floyd dominated the guy that meant something to me.

And as for Pac? I really think that's going to be one of the easier fights for Floyd when compared to say JLC and even Oscar at 154.

The 140 hotted up because Floyd moved up. Hatton father stated they were not ready for Floyd, as did cottos camp.

This basically boils down to him being an arrogant A-1 ****. The talent and technical brilliance are there to admire, but it is very difficult to sympathize with someone who toots his own horn yet does not make ways to show it in the ring.

I don't think he has that MJ kind of fire that allowed (or should I say, excused) Jordan to be an ******* in the name of competitiveness. Because for one, Jordan makes no excuses. He seek challenges. He unretired for the 2nd time because he feels he can still compete on with the upstarts, and he did not back down from them.

While Mayweather unretired because he saw big money fighting Pacquaio, and that's it. He did not see the need to fight Mosley or Cotto who were the champs at 147 when he came back from retirement. Instead he chose to fight a natural 126 champ who showed struggle when he went up to 135. And he fought him at 144, and he came in above 144 during the weigh-in!

That's Pretty Boy in a nutshell.

It was more of a business move to set up a match with PAC down the line. Now that he has a win of JMM Floyd feels he has some leverage b/c of his dominating performance.......PAC beat Ricky and DLH in a fashion far superior than Floyd and now Floyd has a "W" over JMM that was far superior to PAC. At the end of the day styles make fights. And these styles present problems for both guys.

If it's not about legacy then why do his fans even care if people **** on his legacy. It's not about legacy, it's about cherry picking and running to the bank.

i disagree. JMM lost alot of effectiveness from being so much smaller. That short left hook that dropped him so early in the fight made him tentative and showed that Floyd could hurt him easily at WW. And every time Floyd even bumped into him, JMM was off balance. Just cause Floyd was boxing on the backfoot doesn't mean that JMM's lack of size didn't hurt his chances. Thats a myth right there. It made things even worse.

How are you gonna penetrate the defense of a fighter who is fighting off the backfoot when he doesn't even need to respect your power and when he can stop you dead in your tracks so easily?

the only revisionist history is people claiming that JMM was not too small for Floyd, when before the fight everyone agreed that JMM was too small for Floyd

And that was even at a catchweight of 144, which Floyd was too big to make weight for.

Now all of a sudden "Size has nothing to do with it" Really?

And what about all those people who said Floyd would knock out JMM at a catchweight of 144, but then he wasn't able to do it even though he didn't even make weight? Now those people are saying that JMM is "unknockoutable". That's revisionist history.
