In five fights at welterweight, has Floyd Junior beaten, much less fought, Mosley, Williams, Cotto?

He gets credit for the Judah win, why? Because Judah is one of only two legitimate welters he's ever fought.

As for JMM, who said the guy is a bum? He's just not competitive at weights above 135, and until he proves he can compete at these weights it's going to be that way.

Take off your promoter's hat/Ellerbe hat/whatever-Floyd's hat, how can you explain the choice of Marquez as a comeback fight?

The defense of Floyd is bad as the hating most of the time. NO ONE would call those guys bums if Floyd beat them. NO ONE to be taken serious at least, and if Floyd moved to fight Pav, NO ONE would complain. Jeez...:patsch

Floyd insinuates they are bums because they have losses, and that's why he won't fight them.

floyd could have been coming up from 130 and jmm could have been settled at 140 and he probably would have beat jmm just as bad.... if not worse

Leonard was the father of cherry picking (once he left WW), He also had the same bogus retirement.

Great fighter, but still a cherry picker.

Of course size played a factor in that fight, JMM wasn't as good as he was in 135 compared to his outings in 126 and 130, now imagine him jumping 2 weight classes to fight a welterweight. will his movements be the same? will his punches still have the same pop? will his skills be the same without his athleticism he possessed in his superfeatherweight days?If you can't see how size was a factor you can't be taken seriously here

I don't know about justification but I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing for an athlete to have.

Floyd's skills beat JMM. But size was also a big factor. That version of JMM couldn't beat any welterweights, let alone Floyd. That was basically a 135 pound JMM plus 9 lbs of added fat. And he's 36, so no, he didn't become old and shot overnight. People forget he was losing to Juan Diaz before the KO.

If Pac loses, there will be no excuses, because Pac already proved he can compete as a welterweight regardless of his smaller frame. If Floyd wins, it's because of skill, not size.
