Pretty sure he's a colorblind nationalist. He's not trolling in bigging up Cuban fighters.

And although ALMOST every country in the world that has ANY color to em, DOES tend to favor the lighter skinned ppl monetarily and socially, I don't think color or tone has any place in the boxing world since hunger, not skin color or nationality drives athleticism.

Sadly, in N America, whitey aint hungry and us N Americans of the caucasian persuasion have to look to the former Soviet Union for anyone hungry enough and white to achieve in our great sport.:lol:

You know you have made it when the hate starts coming.

Amazing how in such a short time you have people who were not allowed to compete in the past becoming Champs now.

    Communism turns out tough S.O.B's.

I don't really care if they draw billions of casuals or just thousands of true fans. They come to fight, and even if theyre outta shape like Solis, if theyre world class and hungry to fight, I like to watch them.

Defensive whizzes like Rigo and Lara too.:smooch

Dont forget Luis Franco who did not accept the money for Billy Dibs belt and later met Javier Fortuna and managed a draw
Yunier Dorticos 15-0 all on k.o
Sullivan Barrera and Yunieski Gonzales and Umberto Savigne in light heavy
Robert Alfonso the former number one super heavy in Cuba now in Miami

It doesn't matter if you care or not because the reality is the Cuban fighters which most of them like lara/rigo/abril have a boring style wont draw fans to see them fights and will never be on a main event ppv. It's about the money which put foods in the family table and these Cubans wont get a big paydays anytime soon cause of their styles. You don't care but I guarantee these Cuban fighters cares which is why you see lara begging for a canelo fight and rigo wants to fight donaire again.

Those other belts that you mentioned are not important. I am only talking about the main ones: WBC-WBA-WBO-IBF. Yes, there are many divisions but there are only 4 World Champs per division. ;)

    :scaredas:

Saying that there's no such thing as a black Cuban is as saying that there's no such thing as a white Russian. Cuba has one of the largest black populations in the Caribbean.

Cuba is also part of that " black Continent " that you refer to and Cuban fighters are legendary in both the amateurs and pros. Get a life!

It's highly unlikely that Cuba lets their boxers compete in the current form of professional boxing. They are allowed to participate the WBS and will probably compete in AIBA pro boxing if it works out well (Right now I don't have much news on it).
As for the pro boxing as we know it, the only way we keep seeing Cubans in the business is if they keep defecting, but the big majority of their top boxers will always be in Cuba. Maybe it could happen if Cuba develops the right system for that, I don't see them letting their boxers sign with promoters, especially Americans.

As for their boxers, Cuban boxing school is known for being the best in world, together with the Soviets. There have always been plenty of Cuban boxers dominating the sport. From the current bunch, there are Iglesias Sotolongo, Peraza, Despaigne and Lazaro Alvarez in the amateurs, as well as many young and upcoming guys (Robeisy Ramirez already won the Olympic gold in London at the age 18). All of these guys box at the higher level than most of the top boxers we are now watching in the pros and I'm sure that they'd leave major impact if they were allowed to compete in the professionals.

What does a country failing have to do with boxing? Only a racist clown, looking for any chance (through his race) to make himself feel better, would make that comparison.
