Just a regular guy, doens't do anything fancy - used to always see him around town, never spoken to him much but is the epitomy of a normal everyday guy who happens to be blessed with incredible boxing skills. The stories of Enzo are somewhat legendary around the town. Now if he brought out an autobiography - that would be worth reading!
They both sound like great guys....modest and true! I was doing a job at Hedingley recently and I met Darren Gough after Yorkshire beat Middlesex quite impressively on the last straight! He was surrounded by adoring kids who were hunting for autographs. He had this really smug post BJ look on his face...anyway...as he was coming straight towards me, I said to him: "Good job, mate; Well done!" and he just looked staight through me, as if I were made of glass - he didn't even blink - I was not impressed! And then you hear stories of boxers who are so down to earth and all-round nice guys, like Bute, Joe and Kessler - your heart lights up!
There was a boy in my year in school who opened the door to the old gym and shouted in something like "I could beat you up Joe!" - Enzo immediately jumped over the ring, throwing the pads on the floor and caught the little scamp, chucked him in the ring with Joe and said "I'll give you £5 if you can even touch Joe in 30 seconds". Now baring in mind that ring was the smallest I've ever seen, the kid didn't get anywhere near Calzaghe and left with a boot up the arse from Enzo! It was all done in good humour.
How could I not, PrideOfWales? It was the best possible thing Enzo could have done, especially for the kid! We need more good men like him and his son!:good
I am a big fan of both Kessler and Calzaghe, and if Kessler should loose to anybody i would like it to be to Calzaghe...It is better to loose to a better boxer, and a great champ, then to a lucky punch! I hate how narrowminded both danes and brits are in here, every tread that praises Kessler or Calzaghe get trashed...Why the need to be so defensive? I would like to hear more from non british fans of Calzaghe, and non danish fans of Kessler... And yes i follow other boxers too, but mostly read post about all the other big stars in boxing, would feel a bit stupid trying to sound like an expert on many boxers, sorry for my spelling maybe an other reason why i and other danes mostly write about Kessler. I will be in her no matter what come november!!!
Tnx U2. I will, then i have something to do while loosing in poker :yep An other reason why im a big fan of Calzaghe is the Lacy match, he was a big underdog on betfair, and i made a lot of £££ :good
Count me in too, been a massive calzaghe fan for years and been to see him a couple of times, absolutely devastated though, cant go to see Kessler fight! I've been waiting since the lacy fight for another fight like this, where there is actually some competition (well only slightly) and now i cant ****ing go. I'm devastated, but have already signed up for Setanta so i get to watch it!

I've been following Joe for about 7 years now and I would consider myself a fan of his . Amsterdam , add me to your list . Who couldn't appreciate someone who has the skill of Calzaghe yet loves to fight on the inside and go toe to toe .
Well this is just another example of a guy being to biased against his own figther and therefore is unable to have a meaningful discussion of things.
