After his sensational victory over Margarito, you would think fighters would all be gunning for Mosley. Not so. The timing of that sensational victory could not have been worse. With Pac making the jump up in weight and Mayweather coming back, it seems NOBODY wants to fight him. Instead of fighters flocking towards Mosley, hoping for an opportunity to face the best welterweight in the world, they are instead fleeing and choosing other options. This ****ing sucks. If Cotto fights Pac and JMM fights Floyd later this year with the winner's slated to square off early next year, well... I think Mosley is **** out of luck.
hmm says... yeah bad timing cause he's being out shined... also he is insistent in fighting Pac next so nobody else really matters..he better decide or think of something soon....not a win win situation,
IMHO....Mosley is just at the wrong place at the wrong time. And its sad because I like the way he fights but I feel like his best performace came too late in his career, had he done something like what he did to Margarito maybe five years ago things would had been different. However I do see your point most boxers are afraid of taking on him right now after seen him dispatch Margarito in such of brutal fashion. He should go after Williams, IMHO....Dont wait for PBF because its not happening unless Mosley turns 45 overnight....
atsch Don't tell these fools nothin... Mosely has a dude in his OWN weight class who would love to whip his old ass. And his fans have the nerve to be disgruntled??? GTFOH with that **** Rummy.
Own weight class? Paul is as much middleweight these days as he is a welterweight. Let someone else step up and fight him. Shane already put Winky on the map, at this point he shouldn't have to be fighting a nightmare like Williams.
I know what you mean Rumchum, i'd like to see him rematch Cotto; and Roach (wisely) doesn't fancy it for Pac. Shane deserves respect, you'd think people would want to put themselves up against him....then again.
Are you referring to middleweight Paul Williams? Well, Mosley might have to wind up fighting Paul, but the move is ill-advised. Mosley has always fought the best, and he deserves a big pay day against an elite name. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like he's going to get it, though, so yeah--**** you! I'm disgruntled.
He should go after Berto if he cant Mayweather/Cotto/Pacquaio, maybe Hatton, all very winnable fights, maybe even Judah, he needs to avoid Williams and Clottey, wrong styles at this stage. He needs to stay busy
If he wants anything he needs to stay busy and impressive. I want to see him get the big fights but I also want to see him back in the ring. After the Cotto fight he did the same ****. He needs to say fuk it Pac ain't fighting me, Floyd ain't fighting me so go with what is next. Clottey, Williams, Berto even Quintana or Cintron. He needs to stay active and winning. A year out of the light won't help his chances. People will forget and he'll be rusty when he's back.
Bottom line, Shane scared the sh*t out of everyone with what he did to Margarito, outside of a 6'2 freak who everyone knows holds a massive stylistic advantage over him. Shane needs to get in one more fight before the year is up. I wonder if a Berto fight could be made.
Welterweights has so many tough fighters. Berto is available so he can fight him and pick up another title belt. Clottey who just gave cotto hell is another option. Berto and Clottey would be a nice fight for mosley.
