I was shocked that Savarese was able to take Foreman's punches the whole fight without being kayoed. Unlike Kirk Johnson and Tyson, Foreman had a comparatively slow and ponderous delivery which allowed Lou to see the punches coming. Do you think Foreman's power in his second career was overrated Hook? I mean, Savarese showed a really solid chin in that fight but was blitzed in other fights against Kirk Johnson and Tyson among others.

Douglas of the Tyson bout would have beaten Jesus, so Douglas dismantling Foreman within 10.

Yeah I think your right, and I think it was a bit overated. It was all relative to who he had in front of him. Savarese had a decent chin, that was a very strange shot Tyson landed and almost looked like a missing punch until you watch it in slow motion. It kind if skipped off the top side of Lou's head and dropped him pretty hard. Lou did manage to get himself back up before Tyson went nuts on him.

If you look at Foreman's fights, you'd see that he was never a one-punch kayo artist. He was a great counter-puncher who threw great power-combos. He also had a great jab and would catch his opponents coming forward. If you box him, then he doesn't look like the world-beater he looked like against most opponents because of his lack of foot speed. He was always a plodder who would wait for his opponents to come to him, then eat them up.

The best Foreman of the 90's,the one that lost to Holyfield, loses to Tokyo Douglas. The best version of the 70's George (the one who fought Frazier,Norton and Ali) beats Tokyo Douglas.

Douglas has the tools to beat George, he is fast mobile fit with a world class jab. I think the jab keeps any version of Foremen off and Foremen tires sooner than Douglas, remember Douglas also beat McCall and Berbick and had a close loss to Tucker, the best version of Douglas was the one that fought Tyson but he wasn't as big a one trick pony as people make him out to be.

If you mean had they fought on that same night with Foreman in his then current state? I'd say Big George would have Big problems but he'd still have a Big puncher's chance. Might get his ears boxed off though.
