Cheers Bro :good *takes a bow* Once again Cheers Bro. The knowledge inside this thread is amazing. Bert Sugar who!
One of these these days I'll wake up a changed man/child, not such a lazy *******, and I'll do ones on Tito, Finito, Calderon, etc, etc all in one sitting. Sadly, that day is in all likelihood never going to happen.
Cheers m8 :good I suppose it'll have to be Archie Moore next. Jimmy Wilde, Jersey Joe, Ezzard Charles and then Archie Moore. Not bad company that
Nice work on Charles, Vano. I would've made more of all of his amazing scalps (Marshall for instance, on YouTube) as I think they're of equal importance to his amazing Heavyweight run. His K.O of Satterfield is one of my alltime faves and on YouTube if you haven't seen it (McGrainBoxing version) Charles=Top 5 G.O.A.T :deal Good entry mate :thumbsup
If there's anyone I'm gonna do it'll be Jeff.:deal This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
:good I've just added the Satterfield KO into the post. I'll edit in Marshall a bit later. I have: Greb Robinson Armstrong Langford Duran then Charles. :thumbsup
I always hit ctrl-s after every paragraph, Ive done that several times. Thats me in a nutshell. Thats probably my favourite post on this thread so far, really good stuff. JJW was excellent as well. You keep promising, its time to deliver:deal The Reid post was very interesting, someone I knew nothing about & epitomises what this thread is about, many thanks. I wanted to play golf over tue wed but the weather is terrible so I will finally do my Holyfield HW post
Cheers Mo! It's a shame most don't really know too much about him, even tho he beat the very beat of his era. There's not many fighters that can match his resume IMO
Flea, ive updated Charles. Your right, that Satterfield KO was brutal. I added the Reynolds' KO as well, thats pretty good as well! Enjoy
Thanks Mo :good As a massive Holyfield fan whoreally enjoyed the first installment, I am looking forward to the next part :good :good :good
Vano that is ****ing excellent. You did your research as well as put your own opinions on it, and I found it a thoroughly enjoyable read :good If you get the chance, watch the highlights of Charles' 2nd fight with Walcott. Charles catches Walcott with a left hook which is the equivalent of Marco Van Bastens volley at Euro '88 ;-) Jersey Joe, groggy as ****, survives. But another demonstration of Charles' unbelievable punching ability. The part where you said he could borg box and slug from MW to LHW was spot on :good I maintain that both Bivins and Marshall are great rather than very good mind you
