FNF was boring BUT Teddys back, the production is great and its nice to see snippets on Floyd, Coward Jr etc
Did anyone who say Teon Kennedy vs Jorge Diaz think that Diaz deserved the victory? I remember he was winning by the smallest of margins on my mental scorecard at the end of the fight. I thought he'd get the nod, but the judges favoured Kennedy quite widely.
Round 2 of Perez fight was very good. Not seen two fighters go toe to toe with body shots in a long time.
Gutted about Perez, i knew it would be a war but thought he'd just have the edge. Haven't watched the fights from last night but my boy Luis Ramos Jnr won, How did he do?..
just caught up with the FNF from last night.... the douglin vs martinez fight was easily the best as both were well matched , i thought martinez sneaked it 77-76 4-3-1 in rounds , it was a very close fight that could have went either way , a rematch would be just a s good my card... 10-9 douglin 9-10 martinez 10-9 douglin 9-10 martinez 9-10 martinez 10-10 draw 10-9 douglin 9-10 martinez.............77-76 martinez the main event with davis and lopez was as mentioned disappointing. Teddy Atlas rightly said it was a clash of styles that did not mix , for what its worth i had it 97-94 davis..i scored the first round even as only 5 punches were landed between them
Stinker main event but it had been too long since I heard the words "naturally bigger guy" and "amateur background" again:happy Shobox fights delivered though. What a body shot showdown in the opener!
:think Results will be updated weekly in the second post. Though I don't think I'll be able to fit in the whole card each week so I'll keep it to the 2/3 more ''important'' fights.
jpab19 i saw on the scene that hank lundy is getting a shot at the title vs demarco apparently on showtime...its in the forum though so dont know how true this is also boxrec results say that the davis vs lopez fight for the NABF title...when watching the fight i never heard anything about a title being on teh line or i would have added it to my blog
To my knowledge nothing is signed and sealed regarding Lundy's next fight, just speculation. The NABF had ordered a purse bid to be held on the 4th of January with a 60-40 split in favor of Lundy. Lundy vs Williams has been tentatively scheduled for March, pending the outcome of the purse bid and, of course, Lundy accepting the challenge. Lundy's stalling to see if he can get a better - or more lucrative - fight, in which case he'll just ditch the title, if not then it's Williams in March on ESPN by the sounds of things. I've just checked there, there is no mention of the title in neither previews nor reviews of the fight in question from the ''credible'' websites I checked that mention the NABF title in any capacity, so I can only assume it was added as at the 12th hour or - oddly - awarded to Davis after the bout, which would seem bizarre. It's certainly something that many respected sources have missed, so you need not worry. What's your blog, mate?
regarding the NABF title , its when i checked the results on boxrec that it said the davis vs lopez fight was for the title....it wasnt in the schedule befoe the fight
