Beterbiev vs Browne: I thought the inactivity, age and injuries would factor in Beterbiev looking sloppy and slow against a quicker younger Browne. Browne did have a decent gameplan early on, but once he took a flush shot it went downhill round to round until he had enough. Beterbiev had brutalized Browne.
Plenty of fights. But unlike some on here I don't claim to be any expert predictor, if any of us were, we'd all be rich. Most recently I thought Canelo would beat Bivol on points. I thought Murata would knock out Golovkin. I thought Lopez would batter Kambosos. I thought Loma would batter Lopez. Too many wrong calls to list them all.
While it's not really an upset I expected far more from Toney against Roy Jones. I thought James had the skill to get to Roy at some point and make a fight of it , who'd have thought he'd show up to such a big fight in such horrible condition? He virtually killed him self to make weight and had next to nothing in the fight
In recent years, Fury-Wilder II, definitely. Joshua-Usyk I, most defintely. Although, I have to say once I got over the shock of how those fights were unfolding, I enjoyed both and was happy for both winners when their hands were raised, particularly, Usyk-Joshua. Going back, Spinks-Cooney. Holmes-Cooney. I totally bought into the Cooney hype back then. Maybe Douglas-Tyson tops the list. Not so much that I thought Tyson would destroy him - everyone did - but that I gave Douglas so little chance I made other plans and didn't even watch it. And that was back when I watched every fight. And if you missed something, you kind of missed it. Luckily, my uncle recorded it. But I couldn't see the fight until a couple days later.
