Just looking at Wayne Alexanders facebook and i saw a photo of him and Spencer Oliver in a photo taken while they were on tour against Norway. There was a few others who went on to have pro careers as well, We all know the U.S had that fine squad and we also had a great 2008 Olympics with Degale,Price,Jefferies all claiming Medals. But this photo made me wonder what was the finest squad these isles has ever had. It could be for one night. I'm not talking about great amateurs but a squad that contained a number of fighters who went on to have great pro careers. It doesn't have to be British it could be a national squad from these isles. Hope this thread ain't a flop
sorry Gaz i think my post was misleading. I'm looking for British or National (England Scotland Wales NI) Squads.
David Haye and Carl Froch were in the 2001 World championships - don't know about the other UK fighters who participated though :think
this threads going down real well....really well..atsch Cheers lads so far...i'm sure there was a really stacked squad in early early 90's. The England vs USA...we had some pretty good squads out for them battles.
You should have extended the thread to boxing squads from any country or at least boxing squads from any landmass surrounded by water.:bart
