Reality is Khomitsky is a MW and a poor one at that. This isn't a step-up and Frank is lying to himself if he truly believes it is.

Frank is a young novice end of story, he is upfront with his flaws and his need to improve. He is under no allusions that he is going to be the next Super middleweight world champion. He fights what they put in front of him... He isn't a matchmaker! But haters gonna hate.

Who on this thread has hated Frank?

Simply have said that 12 fights in fighting at Super middleweight he ought to have faught a Super middleweight,

Yes this next fella went in with Golovkin.

Golovkin is a middleweight. All be it a very good one.

yeah I hope so, but when he does fight a good supermiddle he's not going to have prepared for one.

Again let's wait and see how he progresses. Calling him a 'con' etc is not good for boxing. He sells a lot of tickets which overall is GOOD for boxing. I for one would like to see a lot more ticket sellers in boxing as this can only mean good things for boxing as a whole. He isn't getting overhyped by fans in general and Frank and his promoter have always been realistic.

So what if his last couple of opponents have previously faught at middleweight.. People do move up divisions and Frank is still in an early stage of his career. Come back to me if he is still fighting the same level of opposition in say 2-3 years time and you may have a point.

    I didn't call Frank a con.

I called it the Frank Buglioni 'con'.

Meaning his handlers are allegedly trying to dupe us into believing he is some thing he isn't.

If his last couple of opponents had been coming up from middleweight that would be marginally ok.

ALL his opponents have at best been coming up from middleweight!!!

We are not talking about a 4-6 fight novice.

He has had 12 fights. He needs to be facing guys from his own division.

I'm not hating on the guy I am stating fact. I don't see how you can defend it. Again if it was one or two I could agree but its not.

that is the same thing as calling him a con though isn't it.

I'm not defending his opponents cos there is not much to defend. He is a Novice and I'd expect a line up of bums for his first few. again, come back to me if he is still fighting the same level of opposition in 2-3 years and you'll have a point.

    He's had 12 fights!!!

And its not the same as calling him a con.

Frank seems like a genuine good guy. Never seems to overstate or stupidly call people out.

But we are being sold that he is something that at the moment he isn't.

He may well turn out to be better than I think and I really hope so.

But we won't know untill he faces some opponents from his actual weight class.

To have had 12 fights and not have faught someone genuinley in your weight class is a disgrace!

I am mystified that you cant see this.

It IS the same thing as calling him a con, he may not be the one doing the 'conning' be he is part of the 'con' none the less.

Regardless, explain to me how selling tickets and providing entertainment is 'conning' people. I'm sure all of the people who have bought tickets to his fights have came away satisified having had a great nights entertainment... I wouldn't say to these people they are being 'conned'. They came, payed and got what they payed for, no conning involved!!!

And regarding opponents weight... If they weigh in at 12 stone they are a super middle. I agree with you he should be fighting stronger opponents, but this is boxing. It is a business. Get over it.

12 fights is not a lot at all so my tendancy would be to wait and see rather than jumping on him and calling it all a con. Negative attitudes like that are bad for boxing.

And when has anyone said that he is going to be the next best thing. I haven't heard anyone hype him at all. Only cautious optimism

ridiculous we are calling a 12 fight novice a fraud, when you have deontay who is 31-0 and only fought one credible opponent

as has been said if he's not stepping up in the next 2-3 fights then okay it is cause for concern. Also have a feeling that hes catching some stick cos franky is his promoter, if he fought under fast car i feel things would be different.
