Definatley possible, Pavlik Is way overrated and limited skill wise and walks onto alot of shots himself and Is chinnier than Lockett.
I have to disagree with your latter statement. Yes he was hurt against taylor but the punch thatb hurt him landed on the forehead temple. Most boxers when they get hit there will be a bit wobbly. It happened to sugar ray robinson, de la hoya and countless other guys with good chins Taylor threw everything at him and he survived rather quickly. so i think the jury is still out on Pavliks punch resistance I think some people do overate pavlik a bit. I reckon he will be a great fighter in time but he is still learning
Lockett has beaten everyone he's faced ... he only has 1 loss on his resume and has never been knocked out so i'm sure that he's coming in the ring with confidence. I don't think that Lockett is a big middleweight ... and Kelly Pavlik is ... I don't think that Lockett should look to back Pavlik up ... if he does then he should give it all he has - because its very difficult to back up Pavlik. The only way I see Lockett shocking the world is to get on his toes ... bounce ... use good in and out movement ... and hope to outbox Pavlik.
and just who the **** is Enzo? on what authority are we to take anything this guy says with anything but a grain of salt, this one hit wonder has been getting blasted with everyone else in his stable this guy Lockett hopefully doesnt get killed in there with Pavlik.
A realist:good As I have said before, I don't fancy Lockett's chances of making the second half of the fight but through experience, I do know that absolutely anything can happen in boxing.
Pavlik would likely stomp the entire Enzo 'stable' ... you've got the weakass Macaroni you've got Joe who probably couldn't KO Ricky Hatton and you've got Lockett ... lol
is that the joe that is 45-0-0 with 32KO and who has fought 21 defences of a belt that is considered number 2/3 p4p in the world that has beaten everyone that has got in the ring with him. or are we talking about a different joe
Yeah, it's the Joe who has fought a career full of nobodies and when he fought his first fighter with a pulse who was 43-years old looked like a rank amateur throwing chick-technique shots/slaps ... It's Joe with a Valuev-type record who is looking to fight a guy who has fought better comp and looks like he can live at that level and is younger and bigger. No one has said Kelly walks through Joe ... like Toney, RJJ, Hopkins or a bunch of others would have if they had met in their primes ... but he has a good chance of stomping Joe just as Dawson, Johnson, and George would if they could get in the ring with Joey TONIGHT or ANY day/night looking forward.
If Lockett tries to knock out Kelly, he is going to get blasted into orbit by a Pavlik right hand. His ONLY chance is to outbox him and have some serious head movement going on.
