Ive seen Lockett fight live a couple of times one against Yuri tszerenko at light middle, when he took a beating and had a face like a bunch of grapes. And once against Monagham where he got the nod but didnt deserve to win.

Gary Locket is not a world class fighter and will be knocked out before the mid rounds.

Gotta love this....trying to pretend that Lockett is a tough fight.

Lockett is domestic level, slow as ****, predictable, has decent power but against who? Low tier domestic British fighters and marks up easily.

Nothing wrong with Pavlik taking an easy fight to stay active, he has just fought 3 very tough back to back contests and I am sure he wants more of the same as he clearly has the fight anyone attitude.

But lets not pretend that this is a worthy fight anymore than Calzaghe fighting Manfredo was.

Lockett can bang so he might be able to hurt Kelly but if the go toe to toe but Lockett I think is giving up to much size to Pavlik and all Kelly has to do is jab and bust up Lockett and come on over with the right. Lockett has only a 69 inch reach so he can't out box Kelly from long range like did too the Russian in there 2nd fight:deal

One of the main things that stands out to me on the small amount of footage I've seen on Lockett, is he appears to be quite small. Height and stature.

A vid posted the other day of he and Enzo working the pads, well, looked terrible. Lockett looked slow and after punching he had his left hand down by his knee! Watch out for the incoming right.:yep

I have seen 10 of Lockett's fights the guy is small but does have fast hands, he is a good med level fighter nothing more nothing less, Kelly should beat him within 5 or 6 brutal rounds.:bbb

he is no bum, no question. but while he is solid, he is not an exceptional talent. his defense is leaky and he busts up way to quickly.

i cant see an upset here.

After looking at a lot of his fights while he is a good fighter he does not stand a chance with Pavlik. Cases in points......
    # 1 Ryan Rhodes floored Lockett just wait till he feels Pavlik power.:tired
    # 2 Yuri Tsarenko busted Lockett up and backed him up to the ropes.:!:
    # 3 For the most part Lockett KO's have been over club fighters the better fighters he has fought he has only beat on points.:nono
    # 4 The guy is just too small for Kelly.:-(
    # 5 While Lockett can bang Pavlik has been with a bigger puncher in Miranda so I don't think Lockett even has a punchers chance:bbb
All this being said because of the styles of the fighters this will be a good action slam bang battle well worth seeing:good

Well most people aren't giving Lockett a chance, nor gave him a chance once the fight was in talks and signed. I personally don't see Pavlik having any problems with Lockett, and can see a KO/Stoppage happen. If a lashing does start to take place, hopefully Gary's corner realizes this and gets their man out of there.

Truth is becuase of his all action style I think Pavlik can't be in a bad fight specially when put in with sluggers like Lockett, Rubio, Duddy and Lorenzo:bbb

Another reason I like KP. He makes the damn fight. No waiting around. Get in there & go forward & back up your man. Like you said, he'll never be in a dull fight.

    (((((((((KP by KO)))))))))
