For all the Calzaghe fans using this as a reason why "pavlik is not ready for calzaghe" because pavlik can't draw: this fight didn't sell well because it involved GARY LOCKETT? a lot of more than casual fight fans had never heard of that guy. Who the hell would waste their time on a weekend night to watch pavlik fight some relative tomato can.

I am specifically talking about Pavlik's northern Ohio obnoxious fanbase, not Americans in general. I should have just said that, though down her ein Florida some of these southern people call northerners 'yankee's', I was using that to refer to Youngstown dip**** Pavlik fanboys.

This has more to do with the stellar card on SHO then it does with Pavlik's lack of drawing power.

Not many boxing fans in their right mind would want to watch 1 joke of a championship fight...rather than 2 legitimate ones (tho admittingly, I thought Mora - Forrest was = to Pavlik - Lockett...but the Snake proved me wrong...HHHHHIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSS!!!!).

But thats the point. We are talking about Lockett.

Its not a knock on Pavlik's draw...its the opponent, coupled with it going DIRECTLY up against what Showtime was throwing out there (I was actually at the Showtime one...it was a GREAT night of fights...ya cant really understand how UNREAL a 1st round stoppage is until ya see one live....surreal insanity is the best way to put it).

i could imagine how it was live ..Dam the snake I say and dam Quintana right before the Parade :patsch

I do agree the competeing show card and opponent had allot to do with it but why would people turn to them if he's the hottest thing going right now ?To his fans he's bigger than the Pope ..

    As I always say....

Never get the fans of a fighter on EAST SIDE BOXING DOT COM and the REAL fans of a fighter confused.

Was a mismatch, but Pavlik has been fighting one hard fight after another, he deserves any easy fight for a change.
