    I agree... they seemed a lot more respectful than the british fans later that night, but the English fans are known for being dicks.

    The Germans are just fans. Nothing else. Just fans. You cheer your guy and boo the other. There is nothing to be made of that. How anyone can tie Bush into Germans booing the American fighters is beyond me.

    My family has some ties to US families (my brother and sister were exchange students in th 90s), and we had visitors over here in Germany and visited them in Ohio and Pennsyvania several times.

    We met no hatred whatsoever - neither for them when they visited Germany (last time in 2007), nor when we were over there.
