He probably could with Wilder tbh, but only because Wilder has a tendency to do **** all for seven or eight rounds. Cockell doesn't survive the first if Wilder's hitting him with the constant power shots Rocky did though.
For all their technical ability, I think that Tyson and Louis should be up there in terms of power as well. They stopped a lot of durable HW, especially in Louis case. P4P Fitzsimmons is a clear choice though.
Can't he be both? I mean yes he broke down Charles, Moore and Louis, but he also took Matthews, Layne and even Walcott out with 1 or in the case of Matthews, 3 shots.
Sure. But obviously people emphasize the attrition aspect of his punching game to diminish the idea that he punched with a lot of power. Nevermind the fact that someone like Foreman often took many rounds of many punches to grind down his opponents.
I tend to think that Tyson in terms of pure power was above Louis, Frazier, Dempsey and was more in the Foreman, Liston tier.
Baer was undoubtedly powerful but he's smallish by today's standards and he's crude by any standards. Wilder only just makes my list because he eventually nearly always lands his money punch, otherwise he would not. May as well put Francis Ngannou in there, otherwise.
Its hard to survive the best shots from these guys and make it to the next round. Foreman Wilder Wlad Lewis Louis
Oh go to bed, Mr Grouchy Pants. This content is protected Ali thought he hit hard. This content is protected
The punch had enough impact that he didn't pop right back up. You don't just mistime getting up from a simple flash knockdown.
He looked to be listening to the count and taking his time, but just mistiming it. That's how it looked to me.
