Yeah, but you don't have to be so obviously biased for the HBO fighter. The Showtime commentary is much more balanced, and much better overall.

I usually love the team other than Steward, but tonight all 3 were the weakest link!

Lampley has been pissed and bitter for this whole year. I really don't know what's wrong with him, Merchant sounded very old, and I think it was way passed his bed time. After the fight and when he was about to do his interview with Berto it looked like he was trying to stay awake, and Steward, well, Steward was being Steward.

I agree Showtime, Gus, Al, Tarver, Farhood, Albert, etc. and I would say the ESPN crew of Joe T (sometimes Brian Kenny) and Teddy Atlas are much better to listen to than the HBO WCB crew.

Merchant is old, he just doesn't seem to be putting on the passion in his work anymore, and I hate that type of employee. He should be fired or retire, he needs to be replaced by someone younger, WAY younger.

Boxing has declined in the last couple years and a lot of fights that are suppose to happen are not happening. The commentators as fight fans realize that, and that's what they are probably pissed off about. Too many delayed fights, too many failed negotiations, boxers getting injured, and too many cherry-pickers (Hopkins, Dawson, Mayweather, etc) is not good for the sport of boxing.

Uhhh, no, thanks. At least they were able to point out that when Berto hit the canvas in round 1 it should have been ruled a kd although it was incorrectly ruled a slip by the ref. I'm afraid our utterly inept showtime team would have fumbled this. See: Abraham vs Dirrel.

Except when he's "bangin'" away during Pacquiao fights. He might as well have just said, "Fap, fap, fap!" instead.
