The Hyping of Andre Ward

So what is the big issue? Ward still had to fight to win, which he did. I'm pretty sure talent and not venue was the deciding factor in his victories. Were the other fighters in the S6 as butthurt about Ward not travelling as people who post here?

 

Without young mr Ward we might live in false belief that Froch is elite, an ATG fighter.

Brits, like TKO6 would have been out of control for few years now.

People hate fighters for different reasons. Some valid, some not so, but the one common denominator is the hate for the guy who keeps winning.

 

Sure you would, yet you wouldn't put a dime on any of those guys to beat Ward if the fight was announced today. Talk is cheap.:deal

 

Exactly most are just jealous that he keeps wining and they know their favorite can't beat him. So they want to say stuff like I don't care if he fights again of course they don't want him to fight again they wish he would just disappear all together. They also go on about him being boring and not being a draw as well. I just sit back and laugh at their logic.:yep

 

He wasn't willing to fight Dawson at 175 boxing novice. Dawson called Ward out and said he would go down to 168 and that's where the fight took place.:deal I could say GGG was willing to fight JCC Jr at 168 but won't mention Ward's name at that same weight.

 

You said with a neutral ref, GGG, Adonis, Kovalev and Beterbiev all beat Ward. I'm just curious as to what you think any of these guys bring to the table that Ward can't neutralize or handle. I mean whatever it is you feel that any of these guys bring, they still have to deal with Ward's skills.

But they don't respect Ward at all and Ward beat Froch easily.

 

Ward is putting on a clinic on how to f*ck up a career.

 

Kovalev nor Beterbiev have technical skills comparable to Ward's IMO. Nobody knows how good either of these guys are because their level of opposition has been weak. Ward is 2 full classes above anyone either Kovalev or Beterbiev or even GGG has ever faced.

Adonis is all left hand and gasses. Nobody knows if GGG and his "power" would carry at 168. He's short and has short arms.

Ward and his holding an headbutts are blown way out of proportion. Kovalev holds and hits but gets away with it. Froch rabbit punches like it's going out of style, no problem there though it seems. Mares' best punch is anything that lands in the crotch area, yet Ward and his "holding/headbutts" have people up in arms? When you are a great fighter,people have to have something to criticize I guess.

I think Ward dominates GGG and Beterbiev handily. Kovalev and Adonis may have some early success, but I think Ward and his boxing IQ make the adjustments and win going away. Too little credit is given to Ward's toughness, ring IQ and skill level.

Did it hurt to see the Warrior Froch get bullied around the ring like that?

The world also didnt hear complaints from the 2 guys he beat.
