No it wont work because judges in the pro game dont score favourabley for boxers employing such negative tactics. Rigo was very lucky to get the decision against VC, he wont be so lucky if he fights like that in Ireland.:deal

I'm rooting for Rigo as I still believe he can be someone special in the pro ring as well, but reality might be a different thing. Be the best man win whoever it is, but here I'm hoping Rigo's focus is 100% and adjusts to the pro game better.

If Rigo cant hurt Casey coming forward he is ****ed all the skill and all those medals wont help him when Casey cuts him in half .

 

Don't have too much to evaluate Casey. But if I go by his record and this videos, no way he is defeating Rigondeaux. His level of competition so far has been a joke. And in the videos I see very limited boxing skills. Except for a lucky punch or a over confident Rigondeaux, it shhould be an easy fight for the cuban.

 

As per Rigondeaux, at 30y/o and fighting at 122lbs and a height of 5'4.5". His good boxing school will carry him only so far. I hope he save some money. Career will not be that long or that good.

 

How has his level of competition been a joke? atsch He has stepped up way faster than most. Fought for a European title in his 10th fight. That's pretty much unheard of. Cop on to yourself, and don't compare him to Rigo either, what Rigo has done is unheard of also, plus Casey has zero significant amateur credentials.

 

I hope so, but I doubt it. Rigo may be boring but he's incredibly talented.

What GR has to do is throw more punches when he has his man hurt, he could had finish the fight against Cordova in the 4th round, he went down hard hurt by a body punch but GR didn't follow up with all the artillery, at the end I think it was a good learning experience for the Chacal

 

If Guillermo Rigo would have just finished Cordoba off then it wouldnt have served him as well as it going to the distance. Rigo wouldve have thought, **** i beat a world class fighter with no effort. It would give him the wrong idea. Although Rigo did toy with Cordoba he didnt do what he really wanted which was a KO. Good learning experience as you said.
