The IBF as a world ranking organization

    Larry Holmes was their first "major" champion...and gave them the credibility to continue as a "world ranking" organization.

    But what other IBF fighters can they point to that the IBF Champion defeated another Big 3 Champions in a "unification showdown".

    (or has the IBF basically always just been "along for the ride")?

    They had good things: just one title, making the champions defend their titles, and other things like the weigh ins, but their rankings are weak.
