This some kind of joke? Pele was about 2 divisions lighter than him!?!?!!?!?!
As for you not thinking he wasn't badly hurt frankly your opinion doesn't count for much. Iv seen the fight. Bas and Dana were commentating on that fight at Total Elimination and saw the same thing that i did.

And i stand completely by Chuck's resume being laced with wrestlers. This isn't to discredit him it's a simple fact.

The fact you actually believe you have a point by raising Chuck's insignificant win over Silva pretty much proves you haven't got a clue. And your right il leave your childish Team Elite to guy's like yourself.

I ****ing LOVE Chuck, one of my favourite fighter ever. Fact is I can look at his career objectively and not dismiss his loses as an injury then claim a fit Chuck would beat a guy he was humiliated against twice if he was fit

    In lights? What lights?

Where's the lights stupid? Are they in between the gaps between the words? Are they invisible and only seen by "thewinfella" and his magic spectacles?

Seeing as you've not tried to explain your first statement - which frankly was an incoherent mess than even your ******ed ass can't understand - since when was Vitor considered and elite striker? Let me guess you read that in another book right?

And yes i get it now Chuck was made for Rampage.... :patsch

Yes when all else fails mention the price of fish. You're a ******. Do yourself a favour and actually WATCH the fights instead of leaving your ass out on the line so guys like me have to put their foot in it.

Almost all of GSP's opponents have "operated on much different levels in college wrestling" and it didn't do them any good in the grappling department. Kevin Randleman's pedigree was far better than Rampage's and yet he wasn't able to budge him in the clinch or come close with what was one of the best blast doubles in MMA at that time. Wrestling pedigrees count for as much as amateur background does in boxing. It can tell you a lot about a fighter's future prospects and strengths and the experience does aid a fighter in the pros but it's no guarantee of translated success.

No, you and your understanding of punch resistance are a joke. Pele was eight pounds lighter than Chuck at the time which put him around the size of a natural MW, which he was. Would a 205er getting flatlined by a headkick from 185 lb Anderson Silva be surprising? No, you'd expect someone he kicked in the mouth to fall down, even Velasquez because, :scaredas:, head kicks generally KO guys!:patsch

But guess what? Chuck wasn't even stunned, got up in under a second, and went on to dominate the fight. That smacks of superior mandibular fortitude. As for Overeem, yes, "badly hurt" is far too superlative for what happened. Badly hurt implies that one is in a fog and fighting to survive, Chuck was never really dropped in the fight and was able to clinch or score a takedown every time he did catch a good shot which, admittedly, was fairly often in the early goings. Glass Jaw Overeem, however, did show shitty punch resistance when the first left hook that landed cleanly on his jaw stopped him in his tracks and the overhand sent him reeling like a drunken Stevie Wonder looking for the door.

Did Chuck fight a lot of wrestlers? Yes. Did Chuck luck up because he didn't fight guys like Minotoro and Shogun? Yes. Did Chuck avoid all strikers and do shitty when he did face them? Absolutely not. Normally he looked like trash against strikers but in his prime he always beat them anyway, excepting Rampage, because his chin held out longer than theirs did.

If Chuck's chin was average you're saying that the opponents he outlasted and outpunched are Glass Jawed Frauds, in which case I'll extend an olive branch and forget about your past indiscretions as a ******ed fanboy and allow you the honor of becoming a chinchecker!:hey:lol::rofl

It's called a clear, detailed counterpoint and no, I didn't expect a pseudointellectual forum hero such as yourself to respond with anything meaningful when faced with a WHOPPING four paragraphs and a debate opponent who isn't put of by your arrogant tone and poor attempts at intimidation via multi-syllable words.:rofl
