Yeah, that's what most inbred, Glass Jawed Brits do when faced with superior firepower, QUIT! That's why the ******s on this shitty board instantly chose to home in on my chin talk and use my "disrespect" as an excuse for refusing to debate with me. Absolutely disgraceful.

It's got to be that right hand of his. I think what make Chuck so enjoyable to watch was the simplicity of what he bought along. A big right hand and a good chin.

No doubt. Chuck had one of the best TDD's iv seen. When taken down he literally just stood up. He was very difficult to keep on the ground.

Yes but it wasnt his best assest was it, especially as he ko'd the 3 best wrestlers in the UFC before he got anywhere near the ground

When it came to wrestling he was found wanting

this kind of shows me he did have a good chin....he took some shots, got hurt, and could continue....he didn't take a shot and drop in a coma (until later in his career)...just my opinion on "chin" though

Dude if you cant see the spelling difference between Alistair Overeem and Vitor Belfort i cant help you  , and im ******ed ............

Belfort IMO is considered " TODAY " an elite striker , my point being Liddell in his prime had the ability to stand and strike with world class strikers , he has been tagged by you as " feasting on wrestlers " , and im saying thats not " entirely " true , i will add that you cannot help but concede that Chuck's best wins were wrestlers but that doesnt take away the fact Chuck was a worthy striker in any era or time frame .

I did explain it , and in my own words said that the source was Chuck's auto bio , and then went on to say that , thats not a solid source , are you having memory loss as well as not being able to differenciate two completley different words from one another ??? :huh

GSP is clearly the exeption to the rule , that is obvious , he identified at a young age in his MMA career that a good wrestling base would / could elevate his pro MMA game to another level , being the type of dedicated athlete he is , he took to wrestling and the rest is history .

Its absolutley nothing like ama compared to pro boxing , wrestling techniques do not change , boxing techniques and strategies do !!!

You obviously know nothing about wrestling or grappling because plenty of wrestling techniques don't transfer over to MMA. For starters, novice wrestlers have to retool their double leg because if you put your head to the outside of an opponent with groundfighting experience, you get guillotined. Many positions that wrestlers like on the mat like riding the back, cradles, and various pins are useless in controlling someone with a guard and the ability to torque legs and they really have to restart from the ground up and adapt wrestling control to BJJ position and submission.

It's why wrestlers are only now becoming THE dominant force at the moment, lots of good teachers like the guys at Jackson's, and Dave Camarillo at AKA are developing powerful wrestlers into position-savvy submission grapplers.

his takedown defense was the thing that made his chin and right hand work, his right hand isnt worth **** without his chin and obviously his right hand was what made everything else count.
