slight correction - cobb has been knocked down (against eddie gregg) and knocked out (vs dee collier)..but then that was after the fights that were mentioned with him

I think his chin is godly myself, to be honest. I just don't see it being that far ahead of Monzon the point where Hagler can find #1 on these lists and Monzon isn't anywhere in the top dozen. Briscoe (the one Monzon fought was a top 3 MW contender) and Valdez (x2) for instance, could crack like all hell. More fights, 100 without being stopped, 1 KD in his very last bout at 35-years-old and not a whole lot more dramatic than the Roldan 'slip'. :yep

    Nice quick-edit. ;)

About as proven as anybody's IMO. I'd genuinely (no smartass) like someone to refute the above and explain the massive gulf usually put between them. Unless they just don't know Briscoe and Valdez.

You underrates the **** out of Valdez. :!: Only man to ever stop Bennie Briscoe or drop Carlos Monzon. Great skills too, even better power. He'd kill Mugabi (who did most of his damage at Junior Middle). Hearns was better at Welter/Jr Middle too. All four - including Bad Bennie - were great punchers though.

Only reason Hagler has the best win between them is because of Hearns all-time P4P standing. He didn't have the better title reign, and Valdez was the most talented middle amongst the lot taking into consideration where each were at the time. He was something like 27-0 (22 KOs) since his last decision defeat going into the first fight with Monzon to unify the titles. Very obviously the #1 guy just behind Escopeta.

I know he doesn't belong on this list, but when I was a kid I remember thinking how Troy Dorsey must have had some kind of steel in his face. The man used to take every single punch his opponents threw right in the head, and walked right through them, unfazed it seemed .

Yeah, he ate even the lighter weight Oscar's bombs no problem. That gash he opened on him was terrible though :!:

    Nice shout. Zeijkio Mavrovic too
